Award-winning MG4 Electric coming to the region

The MG4 Electric has already garnered multiple accolades globally, being named “Bargain of the Year” by Top Gear Awards

MG Motor Middle East has announced the launch of the all-new MG4 Electric.

Starting at USD 26,150 (excluding VAT), the MG4 Electric offers a state-of-the-art driving experience at an accessible price point, claims the firm.

The model comes in three variants—COM, LUX, and XPOWER—catering to diverse customer preferences. The COM variant features a 51 kWh battery with a range of up to 465 km WLTP, while the LUX variant extends the range to 530 km WLTP with a 64 kWh battery. The top-of-the-line XPOWER version, designed for performance, offers a range of up to 400 km WLTP.

The MG4 Electric has already garnered multiple accolades globally, being named “Bargain of the Year” by Top Gear Awards and winning titles such as “Best Value Electric Car,” “Car of the Year,” and “Reader’s Favourite Electric Car” by DrivingElectric magazine. It also secured the “Best Small Family Car,” “Best Value Car,” and “Overall Car of the Year” titles from Electrifying.com, as well as “Best EV under £40,000” from the Scottish Car of the Year Awards, and “Car of the Year” from carwow.

The exterior of the MG4 Electric is marked by sophisticated design elements, including a carbon fibre effect diffuser, “Twin Aero” rear spoiler, and U-shaped high-tech headlights. The aerodynamic design enhances both the vehicle’s aesthetics and its overall performance and stability. The MG4 Electric is available in a variety of vibrant colours, with the XPOWER version featuring an exclusive green exterior.

Inside, the MG4 Electric offers a minimalist and spacious cabin, featuring a floating console with integrated technology. The interior design focuses on simplicity and user-friendliness, with features such as a wireless phone charger, high-tech shift selector, and a 12.3-inch infotainment screen. The “Less is More” design philosophy creates a pure and open cabin space, enhancing the overall driving experience.

Built on MG’s new 100% Electric Modular Scalable Platform, the MG4 Electric delivers a unique combination of agility and energy efficiency. The design concept, “Energetic Agile,” blends trendy elements with cutting-edge technology to provide a dynamic and vibrant impression. This platform ensures that the MG4 Electric is an economical, practical, intelligent, and stylish choice for drivers in the region.

Safety is a key focus for the MG4 Electric, which is equipped with a robust set of safety features, including the DP EPS Electronic Steering System, One Box Brake System, and Zero Thermal Runaway Battery Protection. The vehicle’s high-strength body and advanced MG Pilot System ensure maximum safety for all occupants. The MG4 Electric has undergone rigorous testing, including crash safety and high voltage safety tests, as well as durability testing for the electric switch over more than 70,000 cycles.

In terms of performance, the MG4 Electric features a high-performance rear-wheel drive system, providing stable acceleration and enhanced traction for superior cornering. The vehicle offers multiple driving modes—Standard, Sport, Custom, Snow, and Eco—allowing drivers to tailor their driving experience to different road conditions and personal preferences.

The MG4 Electric is also packed with intelligent technologies, including a 10.25-inch floating infotainment screen, digital instrument cluster, and a comprehensive suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). These technologies enhance convenience, connectivity, and safety, ensuring a seamless driving experience. The MG Pilot system, equipped with multiple cameras and high-perception radars, constantly monitors the surrounding environment to support the driver in various driving situations.

Tom Lee, Managing Director of MG Motor Middle East, commented: “The Middle East is quickly adapting to a future of sustainable mobility, and as we aim to be at the forefront of automotive advancements, the all-new MG4 Electric is another element that ticks multiple boxes for MG, our customers, and the Middle East. Not only are we offering customers an affordable, economical, high-value-for-money model, but we are also helping the region adapt to the changing automotive landscape while diversifying our product portfolio.”

The launch of the MG4 Electric in the Middle East represents a significant step forward in the region’s transition to sustainable and advanced automotive technologies.
