Inter Emirates Motors launches the All-New MG3

Third generation of MG’s supermini introduces new features such as a 360-degree camera and advanced driver-assistance systems

Inter Emirates Motors (IEM), the sole distributor of MG Motor in the United Arab Emirates, has unveiled the all-new MG3. This latest addition to MG’s popular vehicle lineup was introduced at an exclusive Suhoor event organised by IEM, where attendees were given a firsthand look at the car’s new features.

Scheduled to hit the roads of the GCC, Lebanon, and Iraq from March 2024, the MG3 emerges with a 1.5L petrol engine, encapsulating a blend of aesthetic allure, cutting-edge technology, and dynamic performance. With a starting price of AED 41,429 (excluding VAT), the vehicle not only is accessible but also offers a generous 6-year/200,000 km manufacturer warranty, ensuring long-term reliability and satisfaction.

The third-generation MG3 distinguishes itself with an array of innovative features including a 360-degree camera and advanced driver-assistance systems, marking a significant leap forward in both style and functionality. The car’s design, characterised by its a profile which draws inspiration from the agility and elegance of a leopard. The “hunting-eye” headlamp and light-trailed taillamp not only augment its visual appeal but also enhance safety under various driving conditions, say MG Motor.

Inside, the MG3 boasts a technologically sophisticated cockpit with a modular layout and racing steering wheel, seamlessly blending comfort with performance. Tech enthusiasts will appreciate the 7-inch virtual instrument cluster and 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, which support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless smartphone integration. Practicality is also a key focus, with 25 storage compartments and substantial boot space designed to cater to every need.

Safety has been upgraded with the MG3 offering an extensive range of active safety features and undergoing exhaustive testing to withstand climatic extremes. The availability of Front Collision Warning, Emergency Lane Keep System, Blind Spot Detection, and Adaptive Cruise Control, among others, underscores MG’s emphasis on passenger safety.

Powered by an advanced 109 HP petrol engine and coupled with an 8-gear i-CVT transmission, the MG3 promises not only fuel efficiency but also a lively driving experience characterized by agile handling and responsive steering. This makes the MG3 a compelling choice for those seeking fun and economy on the road, says the company.

The MG3 is available in three trim levels – STD, COM, and LUX – each offering a unique set of features to accommodate a wide range of preferences. From electric door mirrors and rear parking sensors in the entry-level STD to the luxurious additions of front parking sensors, a 360 camera, and adaptive cruise control in the LUX trim, the MG3 ensures that there’s something for everyone.
