Al-Futtaim Toyota rewards customer’s 25-year loyalty to brand

Samson Gilbret De Souza bought his Land Cruiser Prado J90 Series in 1998 and has been returning to the Al-Futtaim Toyota workshops ever since

An Al-Futtaim Toyota customer is celebrating a year of free servicing after bringing the same Prado to the firm’s workshop for 25 years.

Samson Gilbret De Souza purchased his Toyota Land Cruiser Prado J90 Series in 1998, and his love for the car and the brand has kept the relationship going. Equipped with a manual five five-speed transmission with a super-reliable 3.4-litre V6 engine, the 1998 Toyota Prado still runs as good as new today.

“It’s a story that perfectly encapsulates the close bond that Al-Futtaim Toyota has the privilege to share with its loyal customers. Toyota was one of the first SUV brands in the UAE and till today, it continues to add new fans and followers to its base. Samson’s story is one of many,” said Al-Futtaim Toyota in a statement.

Al-Futtaim Toyota has gifted De Souza with a free one-year service package covering two service intervals for his ‘beloved’ Toyota Land Cruiser Prado SUV.

“It was 25 years ago that I found this masterpiece of a car, the 2nd generation of Prado, a practical four-wheel-drive which was just introduced back in 1998,” said De Souza.

“I have loved driving this car off-road through Hatta and Jebel Jais mountains and during rainy days as I feel I was always in control with the car.

“It has now become my children’s favourite car, and a part of my family. Therefore, it holds a sentimental value, making it too difficult to even think of selling the car, especially since it has never given me any engine problems.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Al-Futtaim, who made me feel happy and stress-free to service this car and I am hoping to keep this car on the road for the next 25 years to come!”
