Cargostore and HALEYS reveal high-spec trailers for Qatar

Collaboration will supply certified DNV 2.7-1 Cargo Carrying Units (CCUs) in Qatar, including refrigerated reefers

Cargostore Worldwide and HALEYS Group Middle East have joined forces to provide essential logistical infrastructure for the nation’s expanding offshore energy projects. The collaboration will supply certified DNV 2.7-1 Cargo Carrying Units (CCUs), including refrigerated reefers, addressing the rising demand for reliable, safety-compliant containers critical for Qatar’s large-scale energy ambitions.

As Qatar’s North Field and Al-Shaheen projects drive up LNG production, the need for specialized logistics support is intensifying. For the trailer and transport market, this partnership offers a crucial opportunity to support Qatar’s ambitious production goals with a steady supply of high-quality, internationally certified containers. These CCUs, designed to safely transport heavy and hazardous materials offshore, align with Qatar’s high safety standards and operational needs.

This alliance blends Cargostore’s extensive global network and expertise in container solutions with HALEYS’ deep-rooted local knowledge and service offerings in Qatar. Cargostore, operating in over 25 countries, is well-regarded for delivering durable container solutions tailored to offshore logistics. Meanwhile, HALEYS brings its on-the-ground experience in the Qatari market, specializing in engineering design, structural fabrication, offshore support, and equipment maintenance.

For companies transporting trailers and equipment to Qatar’s offshore fields, this partnership is pivotal. Offshore operations are high-stakes, requiring logistical solutions that prioritise safety and efficiency. The DNV 2.7-1 certification ensures these CCUs meet international safety standards, providing peace of mind to operators involved in Qatar’s growing energy projects.

Beyond meeting immediate logistical needs, the Cargostore-HALEYS alliance supports Qatar National Vision 2030, which emphasises sustainable growth. By contributing to a stable and efficient logistics ecosystem, the partnership aligns with Qatar’s goals of long-term economic and environmental sustainability.

Andrew Hart, CEO of Cargostore, expressed enthusiasm for expanding operations in Qatar, emphasizing that their robust, certified containers are perfectly suited for the demanding offshore oil and gas sector. Jassi Chakkamattil, CEO of HALEYS, highlighted the importance of local expertise in supporting the country’s energy projects, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.

This collaboration marks a significant advancement in infrastructure for Qatar’s oil and gas industry. By ensuring uninterrupted supply, round-the-clock service, and strict safety compliance, the partnership is set to streamline offshore operations, providing invaluable support to companies navigating the logistics of Qatar’s ambitious energy sector expansion.
