Chery brings full suite of ADAS to the UAE

The integration of generative AI further elevates these systems, providing improved functionality and reliability, claims firm

Chery Automobile, in partnership with AW Rostamani, is setting new standards for the automotive safety and driving experience of its range through the introduction of the latest advancements in its Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) in the market.

These enhancements are available across the Chery TIGGO lineup, including the Tiggo 4, Tiggo 7 Pro, and Tiggo 8 Pro Max, highlighting Chery’s commitment to integrating cutting-edge technology into its vehicles for superior protection and convenience.

Chery’s ADAS aims to reduce the likelihood of accidents and enhance driver comfort by incorporating a suite of sophisticated features. Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) maintains a pre-set speed while automatically adjusting the distance to the vehicle ahead, ensuring a safer and more relaxed driving experience. Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) alert the driver if the vehicle unintentionally drifts out of its lane and provide gentle steering corrections to keep the car on course.

Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) detects imminent collisions and applies the brakes automatically to prevent or mitigate the impact, reducing the risk of rear-end collisions by up to 50%. Blind Spot Detection (BSD) monitors areas that are difficult for the driver to see and warns of approaching vehicles, enhancing situational awareness during lane changes.

Another innovative feature, the Driver Monitoring System (DMS), detects signs of driver fatigue or distraction and issues alerts to maintain attentiveness. The 360-Degree Camera System provides a comprehensive view around the vehicle, aiding in parking and maneuvering in tight spaces. Intelligent Parking Assist helps with parallel and perpendicular parking by controlling the steering while the driver manages acceleration and braking.

In addition to safety, Chery’s ADAS technology emphasizes driver comfort, particularly in congested traffic conditions. Features like Integrated Cruise Assist (ICA) and Traffic Congestion Assist (TJA) help manage highway speeds and stop-and-go traffic, reducing driver fatigue and enhancing the overall driving experience. Chery’s focus on vigilance is further exemplified by the Lane Change Assist (LCA) and Door Open Warning (DOW) systems. LCA monitors blind spots during lane changes, while DOW alerts drivers to unsecured doors, ensuring passenger safety from the start.

Chery’s commitment to innovation is evident in the continual enhancement of its ADAS.

The integration of generative AI further elevates these systems, providing improved functionality and reliability. Traffic Sign Recognition and Pedestrian Detection technologies highlight Chery’s dedication to leveraging advanced tech for safety. Pedestrian Detection, in particular, alerts the driver or automatically brakes if a pedestrian is detected, demonstrating the brand’s proactive approach to accident prevention.

The future of automotive safety promises even more groundbreaking advancements. Technologies such as vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication and fully autonomous driving are on the horizon, which will further reduce accidents and improve road safety. By continually enhancing its ADAS, Chery positions itself as a pioneer in the next generation of automotive safety.
