Dubai has 500 electric vehicle charging points and 50,000 fully or hybrid electric vehicles on its roads, a senior member of the Supreme Council of Energy has revealed.
Since 2011, the Emirate has also saved 17.3 million tonnes of CO2. That’s equivalent to 1.6 million cars taken off Dubai’s roads, Eng. Faisal Ali Rashid of the Supreme Council of Energy told the audience.
Invited to present the Keynote Address during the Energy and Sustainability Summit held in Dubai, Eng Rashid also used the event to highlight Dubai’s Supreme Council of Energy’s roadmap to decarbonise the building sector in Dubai, addressing existing structures and new buildings.
