M.A.H.Y. Khoory's association with GMC and other brands put it at the forefront of the automotive trade from the 1960s to the late 1980s

M.A.H.Y. Khoory is making a strategic return to the automotive sector through its new key partnership with Dongfeng Motor Corporation, one of China’s leading automakers.

This collaboration officially marks the launch of M.A.H.Y. Khoory’s Automotive Division, positioning the company as a vital player in the UAE’s rapidly evolving automotive landscape. Through this partnership, M.A.H.Y. Khoory will introduce Dongfeng’s car range to UAE consumers, marking a new era of automotive innovation and customer satisfaction.

This is the second major announcement involving the Dongfeng name in the UAE market in in recent months, after Al-Masaood agreed a deal to distribute Dongfeng commercial vehicles, including its electric range of LCVs, earlier this year.

M.A.H.Y. Khoory’s association with GMC and other brands put it at the forefront of the automotive trade from the 1960s to the late 1980s. In recent years, it has arguably been better known for its manufacturing divisions, waste management and paper sector activity. However, the company is expanding into other fields and has announced that it has entered electric car trading via its Electric Moov Trading subsidiary.

As the exclusive distributor of Dongfeng cars in the UAE, M.A.H.Y. Khoory brings its own deep-rooted legacy in the automotive industry to meet the increasing demand for a diverse range of vehicles. Dongfeng’s reputation for cutting-edge technologies and robust manufacturing expertise perfectly complements M.A.H.Y. Khoory’s focus on delivering high-quality automotive solutions. This strategic alliance is set to reshape the regional automotive experience, offering UAE consumers access to some of the most innovative advancements in automotive technology.

The global automotive sector has witnessed a significant shift with the rise of Chinese automotive brands, and the partnership between M.A.H.Y. Khoory and Dongfeng taps into this growing trend. Dongfeng has rapidly established itself as a leading global player, having sold 2.42 million vehicles worldwide in 2023. The introduction of Dongfeng’s advanced vehicles in the UAE promises to bring cutting-edge technology and reliable automotive solutions to local consumers, offering a wider array of choices and enhancing the overall driving experience.

M.A.H.Y. Khoory is set to introduce four flagship models under the Dongfeng brand: the SHINE, SHINE MAX, AX7, and MAGE. These vehicles embody the company’s commitment to quality and performance, catering to the diverse preferences of UAE consumers. The SHINE and SHINE MAX sedans provide exceptional comfort and state-of-the-art technology for everyday commuting, while the AX7 and MAGE SUVs deliver versatility and rugged capabilities ideal for both urban and off-road adventures. This well-rounded lineup allows M.A.H.Y. Khoory to meet the varied demands of its customers, reinforcing its reputation as a provider of premium automotive solutions.

“We are excited to re-enter the automotive market through this strategic partnership. By combining Dongfeng’s extensive expertise with our deep market knowledge, we are set to transform the automotive experience in the UAE. Our collaboration ensures a diverse portfolio of vehicles that meets the demands of our customers,” stated Saj Jabbar, General Manager of M.A.H.Y. Khoory’s Automotive Division.

M.A.H.Y. Khoory’s re-entry into the automotive sector is more than just a product launch—it reflects a broader vision for the future of mobility in the UAE. By partnering with Dongfeng, the company is poised to play a critical role in shaping the direction of the region’s automotive market, offering innovative solutions that resonate with the evolving expectations of UAE drivers. This partnership allows M.A.H.Y. Khoory to embrace new technologies, ensuring that the company remains responsive to the growing demand for both efficiency and performance.

The collaboration also aligns with the UAE’s broader objectives of fostering innovation and sustainable growth in key sectors, including transportation. With a strategic focus on market responsiveness, M.A.H.Y. Khoory aims to contribute meaningfully to the UAE’s dynamic marketplace, ensuring that its customers benefit from the best in automotive technology and service.
