Vehicles on the scene as evacuation drill at Etihad Mall takes 3 minutes

Union Coop and Dubai Civil Defense mobilise as they conduct mock evacuation drill at Etihad Mall

Union Coop, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Civil Defense in Dubai, said it took three minutes to evacuate the Etihad Mall with emergency vehicles quick to get onto the scene after they carried out a mock fire evacuation drill.

The exercise was intended to determine the extent of readiness to deal with emergency cases and fire accidents.

Union Coop stressed that mock evacuation training, “which was organised in cooperation with the Dubai Civil Defense focused on the application of precautionary and awareness measures that effectively contribute to raising the efficiency and readiness of the cooperative while ensuring a speedy response in the event of accidents or emergencies.”

The firm thanked the Civil Defense Department, which periodically conducts training exercises that raise prevention and safety indicators and raise awareness among community members in the Emirate.
