Warner Bros. has opened its first indoor theme park in Abu Dhabi on Yas Island. The $1bn Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi was developed by Miral and will officially open to the public on July 25.
The inauguration ceremony took place at Warner Bros. Plaza, with the park being opened by Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
It is with great pride that we celebrate the opening of Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi on Yas Island today. This is a milestone moment for us as we continue to cement Abu Dhabis positioning as one of the worlds leading family and tourism destinations. Once the project was inaugurated, the dignitaries toured the 150,000sqm theme park, which is said to feature entertainment options for families and visitors of different age groups. They were briefed about the development of the project and the standards of safety and security that were maintained to ensure visitors have a high-quality experience.

The park features themed areas such as DCs Metropolis and Gotham City, Cartoon Junction, Bedrock, Dynamite Gulch and Warner Bros. Plaza. According to a statement, the theme park is uniquely designed to immerse guests in the places theyve seen in movies, comic books and on TV.
