Al Masaood Automobiles wins Nissan Global Award 2025 for outstanding performance

Al Masaood Automobiles continues to cement its position as a leading force in the GCC automotive sector

Al Masaood Automobiles (AMA), the exclusive Nissan distributor for Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and the Al Dhafra Region, has been awarded the prestigious Nissan Global Award 2025, recognising its exceptional performance and contribution to Nissan’s global growth during the 2024 fiscal year.

The honour was presented at Nissan’s Global Headquarters in Yokohama, where Ivan Espinosa, President and CEO of Nissan Motor Corporation, handed the award to Irfan Tansel, CEO of Al Masaood Automobiles. The ceremony was attended by senior executives including Humaid Al Masaood, Director of Al Masaood Group; Guillaume Cartier, Global Chief Performance Officer, Nissan Motor Corporation; and Thierry Sabbagh, Divisional Vice President, President – Middle East, KSA & CIS, Nissan & INFINITI.

A second ceremony was held in Abu Dhabi, where H.E. Masaood Ahmed Al Masaood, President of Al Masaood Group of Companies, received the accolade from a visiting Nissan delegation led by Sabbagh.

The Nissan Global Award is one of the brand’s highest distinctions, recognising top-performing National Sales Companies (NSCs) worldwide. Winners are assessed across key performance pillars including Sales, Aftersales, Marketing, Customer Quality (CQ) and Dealer Network Development (DND).

Al Masaood Automobiles surpassed expectations across all categories, reinforcing its position as one of Nissan’s leading global partners. This marks the company’s third win, following awards for Fiscal Years 2013 and 2019 — a reflection of more than a decade of consistent achievement.

In FY2024 (April 2024 – March 2025), AMA’s success was driven by its customer-first strategy, expanding digital services, and significant investment in technology, training and aftersales capability. Key initiatives included a fully integrated online booking system, enhanced communication platforms, and innovative digital retail experiences — all contributing to record customer satisfaction levels.

H.E. Masaood Ahmed Al Masaood, President of Al Masaood Group of Companies, said:
“Customers are truly at the heart of everything at Al Masaood. This recognition is a clear reflection of our commitment to providing them with the highest quality of products, services, and experiences.”
He added that the company will continue strengthening its long-standing partnership with Nissan to support the UAE’s evolving automotive landscape.

Irfan Tansel, CEO of Al Masaood Automobiles, described the award as a testament to the dedication of the entire organisation:
“Winning the Nissan Global Award again this year is a monumental recognition for the extraordinary efforts of every member of our team. Our investments in digital transformation, cutting-edge training, and operational efficiency have enabled us to consistently exceed both targets and expectations.”

From Nissan’s regional leadership, Thierry Sabbagh, DVP, President – Middle East, KSA & CIS, Nissan & INFINITI, highlighted AMA’s global contribution:
“The Middle East continues to stand out as one of Nissan’s most important regions globally. Today’s recognition highlights the strength and excellence of Al Masaood Automobiles and our shared commitment to exceptional customer experiences.”
