Micromobility operator FENIX is partnering with Fujairah Holding and Fujairah Municipality to provide on demand e-scooters to residents and visitors of Fujairah.

According to the firm, the unique collaboration will deploy Fenix’s purpose-built light electric vehicles across Fujairah.

The first vehicles to be rolled-out at the Fujairah Corniche and then into other communities in the coming weeks.

All FENIX e-scooters are equipped with integrated hand sanitization packs, enabling residents and visitors to commute across the coastal Emirate with safety and ease, said FENIX.

“Commuters around the world are seeking affordable and convenient transportation options and we see a universal demand for micromobility in cities of all sizes,” said Jaideep Dhanoa, Co-Founder and CEO, FENIX. “ Smaller cities are often underappreciated but they are where most of the world resides.

“FENIX is committed to unleashing urban potential in all cities, and are thrilled to enter this partnership with Fujairah Holding and Fujairah Municipality, providing the first shared electric scooter service in the emirate, in line with our commitment to invest in all seven UAE emirates in 2021.”

Fujairah will be the micromobility service provider’s fifth operating city in the region and fourth Emirate in the UAE, following its successful launch in Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah and Dubai.

FENIX has the largest fleet of purpose built electric scooters in the MENAT region and the ambitious light vehicle operator aims to become the national operator of all seven Emirates in 2021 and pan-GCC operator in 2022.

Mohammad Alothman, Group CEO of Fujairah Holding commented: “We are excited to partner with FENIX to bring this innovation in urban mobility to the Emirate of Fujairah. This is in line with our objective of driving the growth of Fujairah by collaborating with leading innovative global organisations.”

FENIX is offering residents and visitors of Fujairah their first ride free up to AED 15 with the promo code FLYFENIX.

Users of the Fenix mobile application from iOS and Google Play Store can make use of Fenix’s fleet of durable vehicles 24 hours a day. The purpose built e-scooters fees usually cost AED 1 per minute to ride, with an AED 3 unlocking fee.

Every FENIX ride is insured with personal accident, third-party liability, product-liability insurance and customer can benefit from 24/7 dedicated customer service.

“This partnership with Fujairah Holding and Fujairah Municipality is a great stepping stone for what is still to come from our team,” said IQ Sayed, Co-founder, Fenix. “We have many endeavours in the pipeline and we are committed to achieving our goal of becoming the national operator across the United Arab Emirates and the GCC.”
