Kia MEA launches connected car services platform, Kia Connect, across the GCC

SooHang Chang, President at Kia Middle East & Africa, calls launch of Kia Connect a strategic milestone

Kia Middle East & Africa (MEA) has officially rolled out Kia Connect, its advanced Connected Car Services (CCS) platform, across five key GCC markets — Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Qatar — marking a new era in intelligent mobility for the brand.

Kia Connect delivers more than 50 innovative features designed to make every journey simpler, safer, and more personalised. Through the Kia Connect app, drivers can remotely lock and unlock doors, start or stop the engine, and pre-set cabin temperatures before entering the vehicle — all designed to enhance comfort and convenience.

The platform’s real-time vehicle monitoring capabilities allow owners to check critical information such as tyre pressure, fuel status, door and trunk status, and system alerts at a glance. With Digital Key 2.0, compatible smartphones can unlock, start, and even drive the vehicle, while enabling secure digital key sharing with family members or friends.

Beyond connectivity, Kia Connect is designed to enhance driver safety and confidence. Features such as Geo Fence and Time Fence send instant alerts if the vehicle moves outside defined zones or time periods, while Valet Mode provides live monitoring when the car is parked or in use by third parties.

Additional tools like Find My Vehicle, Speed Camera Warning, and Stolen Vehicle Recovery provide added reassurance. Meanwhile, Over-the-Air (OTA) map updates ensure that navigation data and software remain up to date without requiring dealership visits.

Available now with a complimentary three-year Ultimate Plan trial, Kia Connect launches initially on the brand’s latest models — including the Tasman and new EV series. By 2025, Kia Connect will be available on up to seven models, expanding to 16 models across the MEA region by 2027.

“The launch of Kia Connect in the Middle East marks a strategic milestone in our ongoing commitment to deliver intelligent and seamlessly integrated mobility solutions,” said SooHang Chang, President of Kia Middle East & Africa. “This digital platform has been developed to provide our customers with unmatched connectivity, convenience, and control, further strengthening Kia’s position as a leading sustainable mobility solutions provider.”

He added: “With Kia Connect, we are redefining the interaction between driver and vehicle, creating a smarter and more personalised experience that aligns with the evolving needs of our customers across the region.”
