Maserati Grecale Folgore: Italian brand’s first all-electric SUV arrives in the UAE

The Grecale Folgore is the all-electric version of Maserati’s successful Grecale SUV line-up and introduces the Folgore EV badge

Maserati has officially launched its first-ever fully electric SUV, the Grecale Folgore, in the UAE. Now on display at Al Tayer Motors showrooms in Dubai and Premier Motors in Abu Dhabi, the launch marks a major milestone in the iconic Italian marque’s electrification journey.

The Grecale Folgore is the all-electric version of Maserati’s successful Grecale SUV line-up and introduces the Folgore badge – the identifier for Maserati’s new generation of battery electric vehicles (BEVs). It promises drivers an “everyday exceptional” experience, combining Maserati’s signature luxury and performance with cutting-edge electric propulsion.

A new electric era for Maserati

Jad Elias, Vice President Sales for Maserati at Al Tayer Motors, said:
“The Maserati Grecale Folgore brings Italian flair, design and sophistication to the UAE’s electric vehicle market. It heralds the dawn of a new era for the historic Italian brand and leads it into the future of mobility solutions, in line with the UAE’s push towards a greener and electric future.”

Designed and built entirely in Italy, the Grecale Folgore is powered by a 105 kWh battery using 400V architecture. The SUV delivers up to 410 kW and 820 Nm of torque, achieving a top speed of 220 km/h—all while providing the dynamic performance Maserati is known for.

Design meets sustainability

The Grecale Folgore pairs aerodynamic efficiency with artistic innovation. Its sleek profile includes a redesigned front grille and rear diffuser to reduce drag, while copper detailing and gloss black trim elevate its exterior aesthetics. Wheel options range from 19 to 21 inches, designed for optimal aerodynamic performance.

Inside, the SUV uses ECONYL®, a regenerated nylon made from recovered ocean fishing nets and textile waste. This sustainable material is used throughout the cabin, including the laser-etched dashboard, 3D carbon copper interior trims, carpets, and roof liner. Heated and ventilated sport seats, finished in black and tan, offer 14-way electric adjustability for a premium driving experience.

Technology-focused cockpit

The Grecale Folgore is equipped with a full suite of digital features, including a 12.3-inch central touchscreen, an 8.8-inch comfort display, and a reconfigurable digital cockpit. A new head-up display projects key information onto the windscreen, helping reduce driver distraction.

Smartphone integration is seamless, with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Baidu CarLife, allowing up to two phones to be connected simultaneously. Voice-activated controls and the Maserati Intelligent Assistant (MIA) ensure intuitive interaction with navigation, media, and climate functions.

Exclusive to Maserati is a new gesture control system, enabling quick adjustments to cabin temperature and fan speed without taking eyes off the road.

Customisable electric driving experience

The Grecale Folgore offers four driving modes:

  • MAX RANGE – optimises efficiency, capping speed at 130 km/h and reducing climate system load

  • GT – ideal for everyday driving

  • SPORT – enhances responsiveness and driving dynamics

  • OFFROAD – prepares the car for rugged terrain

Each mode can be selected via a forged black steering wheel with a drilled leather finish and a distinct blue engine start button. All models feature adaptive air suspension for enhanced ride comfort and control.

Charging and smart mobility solutions

Buyers of the Grecale Folgore will receive a wall box charger (3–22 kW) for home or preferred-location installation. The system includes load balancing for efficient energy use.

The vehicle also features advanced EV technologies, including:

  • Automatic battery pre-conditioning for ultra-fast charging readiness

  • Cabin temperature maintenance when parked

  • EV routing to optimise journey planning, factoring in charge status and consumption

  • Dynamic range mapping that updates in real-time based on driving style and battery level

Premium, sustainable, and connected

With the launch of the Grecale Folgore, Maserati is redefining what it means to drive electric in the UAE. The new model reflects the brand’s ambition to fuse sustainable innovation with Italian design and performance excellence.

Customers can now experience the Grecale Folgore first-hand at showrooms across the UAE, with test drives and tailored consultations available through Al Tayer Motors and Premier Motors.
