RAKTA launches the Orange Route as part of the city bus network

The extension is part of the comprehensive Transport Master Plan 2030 for the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah

Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (RAKTA) has launched a new city bus route – the Orange Route.

This route extends from the Al Nakheel area to the Main Bus Station in South Al Dhait, passing through several key locations in the city center.

The extension is part of the comprehensive Transport Master Plan 2030 for the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, and within its expansion strategy for public bus services aimed at covering and connecting all urban areas to the city center, the new route spans 13 kilometers, bringing the total length of the internal public transport network in the Emirate to 99 kilometers.

The launch of the Orange Route aims to strengthen the transportation system in the Emirate, encouraging the use of public transport and facilitating the movement of passengers through an affordable service that is accessible to all segments of society, said the RAKTA.

Notably, the introduction of this new route will reduce the bus headway time, positively impacting the overall journey duration for users, added the RAKTA.
