RAM brings back HEMI V8 engines to UAE on new 1500 pick-up trucks

Dealer Al-Futtaim announces availability of the 5.7-litre HEMI V8 in three RAM 1500 variants in the UAE, responding to customer demand for greater powertrain choice

The 5.7-litre HEMI V8 engine is returning to the UAE in the RAM 1500 range of pick-up trucks, with Al-Futtaim, the official RAM Trucks distributor in the country, confirming that the manufacturer is bringing back the powertrain to cater to demand I the market for high-performance full-size pick-ups.

The HEMI V8 is now offered on the RAM Rebel, Limited and Limited Night Edition, with all three variants featuring eTorque mild-hybrid technology. The return is being positioned as a response to feedback from the UAE RAM community, under the campaign message “We Heard You”.

The move also highlights the continuing importance of powertrain choice in the full-size pickup segment, where towing, off-road capability and everyday usability remain key considerations for customers.

“RAM has always been built alongside the people who drive these legendary trucks every day,” said Carlos Montenegro, Managing Director – Al-Futtaim Trading Enterprises. “Our UAE owners are part of the RAM family. They inspire us, challenge us, and help shape the future of the brand. The return of the legendary HEMI V8 is a celebration of this trusted relationship and of everything that makes RAM, RAM.”

The 5.7-litre V8 returns with its established combination of power and torque, while eTorque is intended to support efficiency and drivability across a range of operating conditions. RAM says the powertrain is suited to applications including towing and off-road driving, as well as regular road use.

For fleet and commercial users, the availability of the V8 also keeps the RAM 1500 relevant where vehicle capability is a priority. The Rebel’s hardware is aimed at demanding terrain, while the Limited models provide a road-focused specification without moving away from the pickup’s core performance credentials. The UAE launch therefore gives customers a broader choice within the existing RAM 1500 portfolio across different operating requirements.

For buyers seeking a more off-road focused specification, the RAM 1500 Rebel pairs the V8 with performance-tuned suspension, an electronic locking rear differential, skid plates, all-terrain tyres and a sport performance hood. The model also features a 14.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen, 19-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system and dual-pane panoramic sunroof.

The RAM 1500 Limited combines the V8 with a more premium specification, including leather seating for five, real wood accents, the 14.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen, Harman Kardon® audio system and dual-pane panoramic sunroof. The 1500 Limited Night Edition adds 22-inch black aluminium wheels and black exterior trim accents.

With the HEMI V8 now spanning three RAM 1500 variants, Al-Futtaim is expanding powertrain availability across different customer requirements, from off-road use to premium everyday driving.
