Nissan Patrol world premiere: Glitz and Clamour as Abu Dhabi hosts global event

Nissan’s President: "The Middle East has always been deeply connected to the Patrol, making it the perfect location for the global debut"

Nissan staged a spectacular global premiere for its all-new Patrol in Abu Dhabi, marking the dawn of a new chapter in the storied legacy of one of the world’s most renowned SUVs. Under the theme “Nissan Patrol Middle East Odyssey,” the event, attended by Nissan’s President and CEO, Makoto Uchida, showcased the seventh-generation Patrol emerging triumphantly from the desert sands, symbolising its enduring heritage of conquering the most challenging terrains.

The event, which attracted over 600 distinguished guests — including royals, VIPs, global Nissan executives, partners, and media — was also streamed live to audiences worldwide across broadcast and social media platforms.

The evening highlighted the Patrol’s design evolution, engineering advancements, and pioneering innovations through presentations by key Nissan figures, including Alfonso Albaisa, Senior Vice President of Global Design, and Ivan Espinosa, Chief Planning Officer.

In celebration of the Patrol’s seven-decade evolution, the event offered an immersive experience blending Japanese and Middle Eastern traditions.

The programme featured a stirring recital by an Emirati poet, a performance by the acclaimed Japanese dance group Fabulous Sisters, and an impressive light display.

The performances were enhanced by 3D mapping that seamlessly intertwined the desert landscape with the Patrol’s adventurous spirit, providing a visually captivating experience for all attendees.

Makoto Uchida remarked, “The Patrol represents the longest uninterrupted product line in Nissan’s history. Through decades of dedication and innovation, it has upheld its off-road legacy while embracing modern refinement.

He added: “The Middle East has always been deeply connected to the Patrol, making it the perfect location for the global debut of this new generation. This launch is also the first of five new SUVs we will introduce in the region as part of our global strategy, The Arc, reflecting our commitment to both customer satisfaction and regional growth.”

The event featured a dedicated Heritage Zone showcasing the Patrol’s evolution from its rugged origins in 1951 to its current status as a symbol of power and prestige. A poignant tribute honoured Patrol drivers worldwide, with flags representing the nations where the SUV has made its mark, underscoring its global icon status and enduring connection with its loyal customer base.

Thierry Sabbagh, Divisional Vice President for the Middle East at Nissan, INFINITI, stated, “The Middle East remains a pivotal region in Nissan’s global strategy. This significant event is a testament to the unwavering loyalty of our customers and the crucial support of our regional partners, who have been instrumental in the Patrol’s esteemed status as a symbol of power and prestige in the Middle East for nearly seventy years.”

The All-New Patrol offers two engine options: a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 delivering an impressive 425HP and 700Nm of torque, and a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter V6 with 316HP and 386Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission, enhancing performance on and off the road while improving fuel efficiency.

Externally, the new Patrol retains its iconic look with modern updates, including a bold V-motion grille, Adaptive Driving Beam headlights, and a distinctive full-width rear light bar. The interior boasts a premium cabin experience with advanced infotainment features, including a 28.6-inch Monolith display and a Klipsch Premium Audio System.

The All-New Nissan Patrol is now available for booking through Nissan’s partner network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the broader Middle East region, with prices starting at USD $65,000, varying by market.
