Bridgestone used the 30th ITS World Congress held in Dubai to demonstrate its commitment to advancing sustainable mobility through cutting-edge technologies and a focus on the rapid adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) and other eco-friendly transportation solutions.
At the Congress, attendees were introduced to Bridgestone’s latest innovations in tyre technology, designed to enhance performance, energy efficiency, and reduce environmental impact. These innovations positioned Bridgestone at the forefront of the global transition towards greener transportation, with the company’s high-performance, sustainable tyres taking centre stage.
Jacques Fourie, President of Bridgestone Middle East and Africa, underscored the company’s commitment to a sustainable future. “Our participation at the ITS World Congress 2024 exhibits our steadfast commitment to developing cutting-edge solutions that not only meet the evolving needs of the industry but also promote a sustainable future. As electric cars and eco-friendly solutions become critical in cutting emissions and decarbonising the transportation sector, we take pride in leading the shift to a more sustainable transport ecosystem,” said Fourie.
He added, “We look forward to carrying out the ground-breaking work with our partners in the MEA region to advance sustainable mobility and encourage innovation in the industry.”
The ITS World Congress, hosted by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and organised by ERTICO, brought together global leaders in mobility, technology, and policy to shape the future of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). Bridgestone seized the opportunity to present its innovative solutions, providing valuable insights into the industry’s transition towards more sustainable and efficient transportation systems.
