Wialon to showcase Fleet Management tech at GITEX Global 2024

Wialon’s participation at GITEX Global 2024 comes at a time when the fleet management industry is undergoing significant transformation

Wialon, the leading fleet management and IoT platform developed by European software company Gurtam, is set to make a significant impact at GITEX Global 2024. As one of the most influential tech events in the world, GITEX provides a crucial platform for Wialon to highlight its latest advancements and industry-leading solutions.

Wialon will host a dedicated Fleet Management Hub at Booth H21-B20 in Zabeel Hall 21, Dubai World Trade Center, alongside key industry players such as telematics service providers, hardware manufacturers, and connectivity experts.

This year’s participation follows Wialon’s announcement of a major milestone—connecting over 4 million vehicles across 160 countries. This accomplishment cements Wialon’s position as one of the largest global platforms in the fleet management space.

The platform’s ability to connect, track, and monitor a diverse range of vehicles, from heavy-duty trucks and buses to construction equipment and energy infrastructure, has made it indispensable to businesses across a wide array of industries.

Wialon’s strength lies in its extensive partnerships, with over 2,700 telematics and IoT solution providers in more than 160 countries. Most of Wialon’s partners are small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that rely on its advanced technology and integrations to drive efficiency in their operations. By offering seamless integrations with more than 3,500 device models for data capture and GPS tracking, Wialon enables businesses of all sizes to leverage cutting-edge fleet management technology without incurring hefty development costs.

This approach empowers smaller businesses to compete effectively in local markets, giving them the tools typically reserved for larger enterprises. By harnessing Wialon’s capabilities, SMEs can streamline fleet operations, reduce overhead costs, and enhance safety, leveling the playing field in an increasingly competitive market.

Wialon’s participation at GITEX Global 2024 comes at a time when the fleet management industry is undergoing significant transformation.

As the Head of Wialon, Aliaksandr Kuushynau, explains, “GITEX Global is a pivotal platform for Wialon, allowing us to showcase our commitment to innovation and our role in shaping the future of fleet management. With over 4 million vehicles connected worldwide, we’re dedicated to delivering scalable solutions that empower businesses—both large and small—to optimize their operations and meet the demands of a rapidly evolving market.”

At GITEX 2024, Wialon will emphasize key trends driving fleet management in the Middle East:

  1. Telematics and IoT for Operational Efficiency: More companies are adopting telematics and IoT technologies to monitor fuel consumption, vehicle health, and driver behavior. These tools are proving crucial for industries such as logistics, oil & gas, and transportation, allowing them to optimize operations, reduce costs, and improve safety.
  2. Sustainability and Electric Fleet Transition: In line with the region’s sustainable development goals, including UAE Vision 2021 and Saudi Vision 2030, there is a growing push for electric vehicle (EV) adoption. Wialon’s solutions are helping businesses transition to greener fleets, supporting their efforts to reduce carbon emissions and contribute to sustainable mobility.
  3. AI and Big Data for Fleet Optimization: Digital transformation is unlocking the potential of AI and big data in fleet management. Wialon’s advanced technologies are enabling predictive maintenance, route optimization, and risk management, helping businesses maximize vehicle uptime, streamline operations, and mitigate risks.

One of Wialon’s major highlights at GITEX Global 2024 is the launch of its Task Manager feature. This new tool, designed to revolutionise fleet operations, introduces dedicated workflows for managing alerts and notifications. Task Manager allows fleet managers to assign tasks, log processes, and track the resolution of incidents—all within the Wialon platform.

With Task Manager, every fleet alert—whether related to maintenance, compliance, or operational issues—can now be systematically addressed. The feature functions like a built-in Jira system, providing a centralised method for managing tasks and improving response times. By streamlining fleet oversight, Wialon ensures greater efficiency and accountability for fleet managers.
