One More Round campaign showcases the truck undergoing a rigorous evaluation, including 1,777 specific tests conducted over more than 18,000 cycles

Kia has revealed a final teaser for its much-anticipated first-ever pickup truck, the Kia Tasman, ahead of its world premiere at the Jeddah International Motor Show on October 29. The Tasman marks Kia’s debut entry into the competitive pickup truck market, promising to redefine traditional expectations with its innovative design, adaptability, and robust performance capabilities.

The Kia Tasman has been crafted to offer owners a unique blend of practicality and versatility, catering to both professional and lifestyle needs. Described as a “progressive pickup,” the Tasman challenges conventional stereotypes in the segment by delivering a vehicle that prioritises spaciousness, safety, and advanced technology. Kia has drawn from its 50 years of experience developing special purpose vehicles to ensure the Tasman is capable of performing across a wide range of conditions.

In the lead-up to the reveal, Kia has highlighted the extensive testing process behind the Tasman, sharing details from its ‘One More Round’ campaign.

The campaign showcases the truck undergoing a rigorous evaluation, including 1,777 specific tests conducted over more than 18,000 cycles. This thorough process involved off-road durability, towing capacity, all-terrain performance, and wading capability, ensuring the Tasman meets the highest standards of reliability and versatility.

Kia’s teaser images show the Tasman’s solid, robust silhouette, emphasising its utility and dependability. Drawing on the technology behind models like the Kia Telluride, the Tasman is expected to be a capable all-terrain vehicle, designed to handle both demanding work environments and recreational off-road activities with ease.

The world premiere of the Kia Tasman will take place at the Jeddah International Motor Show on October 29, with a live stream available via the Kia Worldwide YouTube channel. With its cutting-edge design, adaptability, and comprehensive safety features, the Tasman is poised to make a significant impact in the pickup truck market and is expected to broaden the brand’s appeal in both the Middle East and globally.

Kia’s entry into the pickup market with the Tasman signifies a bold move for the company, and the truck’s unveiling in Jeddah underscores the growing importance of the Middle East as a key market for automotive innovation. With its extensive testing and the brand’s focus on breaking new ground, the Tasman is set to become a standout addition to Kia’s expanding portfolio of vehicles designed to meet the needs of modern drivers.
