Shift Car Rental, a part of AW Rostamani Group, has announced major expansion plans for the next five years, at an investment value of about $109 million (AED400m).
The company plans to invest the funds in doubling the size of its fleet as well as expanding across the UAE through multiple fully-serviced rental counters. Moreover, it will relocate to a new facility in Al Quoz, which will be managed by Arabian Automobiles.
“We constantly evaluate our customer’s needs to make targeted investments. Our vision for the year 2020 is to be the number one car rental company in the UAE in terms of quality and service”, said Ashish Nanda, senior general manager at Shift Car Rental.
Shift Car Rental currently has over 650 clients and a fleet of more than 5,000 vehicles. The firm plans to increase its fleet to over 10,000 cars by 2020, it said in a statement. It will relocate to the new facility in Al Quoz in the last quarter of this year.
