WirelessCar opens branch to strengthen Japanese OEM ties

WirelessCar, a global leader in connected vehicle services, has expanded its global footprint with the opening of a new office in Japan. This strategic move is aimed at supporting the digital transformation of Japan’s automotive industry and building stronger partnerships with Japanese original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

Japanese automakers are navigating complex challenges as they transition toward electric vehicles (EVs) and contend with rising competition in emerging markets. With over a decade of experience working alongside a major Japanese OEM, WirelessCar’s new Japan branch will work closely with Japanese automakers, offering solutions to maintain their leadership in connected vehicle services on a global scale.

WirelessCar brings over 25 years of expertise to the connected vehicle landscape. Since its establishment in 1999, the company has pioneered innovative telematics and connected vehicle services, starting with Volvo’s first telematics offerings. Today, WirelessCar provides digital services to major global automakers, including Jaguar Land Rover, Volkswagen, and Mercedes-Benz, connecting over 14 million vehicles across more than 105 markets.

Niklas Florén, CEO of WirelessCar, emphasized the significance of the new Japan branch, stating, “Our 25 years of experience with OEMs have taught us the value of deep, long-term collaboration. Establishing a presence in Japan allows us to better understand and respond to the unique needs of Japanese OEMs, reinforcing our commitment to quality, reliability, and trust in the digital automotive space.”
