First-ever Sierra EV will not be a compromise for Middle East drivers

GMC becomes industry’s first brand with three all-electric trucks with the launch of 640km-range Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 pickup truck

GMC says the introduction of the first-ever Sierra EV marks a turning point for the premium truck brand, as it expands its portfolio of all-electric trucks. According to the US firm, it is now the only brand in the auto-industry to boast three all-electric pick-up trucks with the launch of the Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 pickup truck.

In the Middle East, its electric charge will be led by the 2024 Sierra EV Denali Edition 1. It claims that the vehicle offers “uncompromising” pickup capability, a GM-estimated 640 KM of range on a full charge and “unique features made possible only by its dedicated EV truck platform.

“The GMC Sierra has been a household name across the region since its introduction and we will now be bringing its EV iteration to the region, making no compromise on hauling, towing, and power, as our regional GMC fans would expect,” said Farah Amhaz, Head of Product Marketing General Motors Africa & Middle East.

“The Sierra EV boasts everything the Sierra is known and loved for, just in an electrified package that will be able to tackle the dunes and offer its driver the premium capability GMC is known for.”

The Sierra EV joins the much-anticipated GMC HUMMER EV Pickup and SUV2. Underpinning these three trucks is GM’s groundbreaking Ultium Platform, which is touted as offering versatility and optimal performance in an all-electric trucks.

“The GMC Sierra EV Denali will offer the very latest in technology, capability, and luxury, delivered in a way only GMC can do,” said Amhaz. “From the HUMMER EV super truck to the first-ever Sierra EV, we are writing the next chapter as a premium truck and SUV brand, globally and right here in the Middle East, where we are committed to bringing the latest and greatest to our line-up.”

The first-ever GMC Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 brings an even more luxurious interior that customers have come to expect from the Denali trim.
