The BMW M3, now in its sixth model generation, continues to push the boundaries of high-performance sports cars. With its latest iteration, the BMW M3 Sedan has become more powerful, poised, advanced, and versatile than ever before, embodying a rich legacy that spans nearly four decades.
At the heart of the new BMW M3 is a high-revving 3.0-litre straight-six engine equipped with M TwinPower Turbo technology. This powerhouse offers a remarkable blend of power and precision, achieving a maximum output of 530 hp at 6,250 rpm in the BMW M3 Competition Sedan with M xDrive.
The engine’s peak torque of 650 Nm is available between 2,750 and 5,730 rpm, ensuring a robust and consistent power delivery. This enhanced performance translates into impressive acceleration figures, with the M3 Competition Sedan sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds.
The new BMW M3’s dynamic prowess is further highlighted by its acceleration from 0 to 200 km/h in 11.8 seconds, half a second quicker than its predecessor. Its electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h can be increased to 290 km/h with the optional M Driver’s Package, allowing drivers to fully exploit the car’s potential.
The M3’s exterior is as striking as its performance, featuring newly designed LED headlights and distinctive visual details that enhance its aggressive stance. The headlights, combining low and high beam in a single module, are complemented by arrow-shaped LED units serving as side lights, daytime running lights, and turn signal indicators. For those seeking an even more sophisticated appearance, Adaptive LED Headlights with blue inlays and M Shadowline lights are available as options.
Inside, the M3 exudes luxury and sportiness. The newly designed M-specific sports car cockpit includes a three-spoke M leather steering wheel with multifunction buttons, a flat-bottomed rim, and a red center marker at the 12 o’clock position. High-quality materials and M-specific design elements, such as Dark Graphite matt interior trim and optional M Carbon Fibre components, create a premium yet athletic atmosphere. The M Carbon bucket seats, featuring carbon fiber-reinforced plastic and weight-saving design, offer a racing-car-like connection for the driver, enhancing both comfort and performance.
Technological advancements are at the forefront of the new BMW M3, with the latest BMW iDrive system based on BMW Operating System 8.5. This system, complemented by a BMW Curved Display and optional BMW Head-Up Display, offers intuitive control and access to a wide range of digital services. The M Mode button on the center console allows drivers to personalize their driving experience by adjusting the interventions of the driver assistance systems, with the optional TRACK setting deactivating all comfort and safety systems for a pure racing experience.
The exterior of the new BMW M3 is further refined with axle-specific wheel sizes and M forged light-alloy wheels in a new design. Standard Jet Black forged light-alloy wheels are complemented by optional Silver finished wheels, adding a touch of elegance to the car’s sporty look.
BMW has also introduced the M Carbon exterior package and M Race Track package for those seeking even more performance and visual impact. These packages include M Carbon ceramic brakes, M Carbon bucket seats, and Carbon Fibre interior trim elements, reducing the vehicle weight by up to 25 kilograms
