AJEX and Widect to connect e-commerce logistics between Turkiye and the Middle East

Partnership promises faster and more streamlined logistics for e-commerce businesses looking to expand their footprint across MENA region

AJEX Logistics Services (AJEX) has entered into a strategic partnership with Widect, a 100% subsidiary of Turkish Airlines, to accelerate e-commerce logistics between Turkiye and the Middle East.

This partnership aims to enhance shipping solutions along the Turkiye-to-GCC route and expand services across the broader MENA region, offering e-commerce providers efficient and reliable logistics options, suggested the two organisations in a statement.

The collaboration will leverage Widect’s extensive global network, backed by Turkish Airlines’ 340 destinations, alongside AJEX’s last-mile expertise, robust infrastructure, and state-of-the-art delivery technology. With daily flights between Istanbul and major Saudi Arabian cities like Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam, the partnership promises faster and more streamlined logistics for e-commerce businesses looking to expand their footprint across the Middle East and North Africa.

As trade between Turkiye and Saudi Arabia continues to grow—reaching a trade volume of USD 8.2 billion in 2022—the new AJEX-Widect partnership is poised to play a key role in strengthening economic ties between the two nations. The rise of e-commerce and increasing demand for Turkish products in Saudi Arabia presents significant opportunities for businesses in both countries to benefit from improved shipping solutions.

“United by a commitment to delivering superior logistics solutions based on speed, reliability, and agility, AJEX is delighted to announce our new partnership with Widect,” said Mohammed Albayati, CEO of AJEX Logistics Services. He emphasized that the partnership will not only support smoother trade flows but also bolster Saudi Arabia’s position as a central logistics hub in the region.

Enes Yilmaz, Managing Director of Widect, expressed optimism about the partnership, stating, “As e-commerce continues to boom and bilateral trade grows, we look forward to our continued collaboration with AJEX to deliver enhanced services and ever greater value to businesses across the region.”

With the growing e-commerce market in MENA and the increasing demand for seamless logistics solutions, the AJEX-Widect partnership is set to provide a significant boost to the industry, enabling businesses to thrive in the fast-paced digital economy.
