Al Ghandi Auto tops regional General Motors Dealer Skills Competition

Competition challenges push the boundaries of technical expertise, requiring participants to demonstrate their skills in real-world scenarios

Al Ghandi Auto has secured the top two positions in the challenging General Motors Dealer Skills Competition.

This year’s competition, which features a series of rigorous and multifaceted challenges, tested participants in a variety of areas including advanced diagnostics, customer service simulations, and hands-on technical problem-solving.

The competition’s challenges are designed to push the boundaries of technical expertise, requiring participants to demonstrate their skills in real-world scenarios.

These included complex diagnostic tasks, time-sensitive repairs, and customer interaction simulations, all aimed at replicating the pressures and demands of a modern automotive service environment.

Commenting on this achievement, Mark Jenkins, CEO of Al Ghandi Auto said: “Our team’s remarkable success in this year’s General Motors Dealer Skills Competition is a direct result of our ongoing commitment to learning and talent development. Last year, we were proud to have our technicians in the top ten; this year, we’ve excelled further to secure the top two spots.

“This incredible progress is a testament to the leadership of Alex Thompson, Group After Sales General Manager, and the unwavering commitment and dedication to excellence of our technicians. Their achievements underscore our dedication to continuous development and our ambition to secure even more top spots in 2024.”

Jenkins added: “Al Ghandi Auto is also celebrating the success of its 2023 Sales Consultants’ Pro Challenge, a rigorous competition designed to identify and honour the top Sales Consultants within General Motors Dealership partners in the region. Sen Issac from the Al Ghandi Auto’s Deira Branch emerged as the winner of this prestigious challenge. He excelled within the in-house training, achieved outstanding results on the assessment, and scored exceptionally high points in the final. His achievement in this challenge is a shining example of the talent and dedication present within our team expertly led by Waleed Al Sayed, General Manager of Sales.”

Al Ghandi Auto says its approach to continuous learning and development has been a cornerstone of its strategy, ensuring that its team remains at the forefront of automotive service excellence. This commitment to nurturing talent and fostering a culture of excellence is evident in the team’s consistent performance in the General Motors Dealer Skills Competition.

Jenkins further stated that Al Ghandi Auto looks forward to building on this success and continuing its tradition of excellence in the coming years, with a keen focus on securing more top positions in this competition both in 2024 and in the years to come.
