Automechanika Dubai: Goodyear gears up for lubricants growth

Goodyear to make its significant impact with the introduction of Goodyear branded engine oils

Automechanika Dubai, the leading automotive aftermarket trade show, is thrilled to mark its 20th edition at the prestigious Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) from October 2nd to 4th, 2023.

Taking part is Goodyear, the global giant in the tire industry, which is gearing up to make its significant 4th impact with the introduction of Goodyear branded engine oils. These cutting-edge lubricants will cater to the automotive, industrial, power generation, and marine sectors. In a show of commitment to the Middle East, Africa, and parts of Asia, Goodyear Lubricants will unveil a diverse range of over 100 varieties of engine oils and specialty lubricants, totaling over 400 Stock Keeping Units (SKUs).

Exclusively distributed by ALONSA ELECTRIC GROUP, a distinguished member of the Al Tara Group since 1978, Goodyear Lubricants carry the iconic Goodyear (and winged foot design) and blimp trademarks. Under the license by ALONSA Electric Gulf Fzco since 2020, ALONSA takes pride in its role as a diversified commerce group, with one of its core business verticals being the exclusive marketing and distribution of Automotive Engine Oils, Greases, and Specialties under the esteemed Goodyear brand.

In a strategic move for 2023-2024, ALONSA is setting its sights on key markets, including Egypt, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, and South Africa, as part of an aggressive revenue outreach plan. The company aims to establish additional distribution points across these critical zones, building on its successful distribution partnerships in over 26 countries for Goodyear lubricants since 2020.

Notably, Goodyear Lubricants products are certified by ESMA (Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology) for sale in the UAE. The products adhere to API (American Petroleum Institute) specifications where applicable. Goodyear’s VIGOR 15W40 CI4, a high-performance diesel lubricant, holds Volvo and Mercedes Benz OEM certification, while GOODYEAR CRUIZER PLUS 5W40 API SN is Mercedes Benz certified. All Goodyear Lubricants proudly bear the latest industry accreditations.

Goodyear Lubricants are manufactured in state-of-the-art blending plants located in Europe, Malaysia, the UAE, and the USA, with rigorous testing conducted in ISO 17025 laboratories to ensure quality and performance.

ALONSA’s forward-looking product development team is poised to launch an extensive range of lubricants, fluids, and additives specially tailored for electric vehicles. Additionally, the market can anticipate products from the USA production facility, including fully synthetic gasoline engine oil adhering to SP API standards. Excitingly, Alonsa and Goodyear are in the final stages of developing a high-performance lubricant designed for racing engines, formulated with Ester and Mas treatment to enhance horsepower and torque.

In keeping with corporate social responsibility, ALONSA group actively fosters entrepreneurship by promoting and appointing distributors of Goodyear lubricants. The group empowers local startups and dynamic individuals to become resellers with the invaluable support of established distributors in their respective countries.
