CAFU opts for Shell Middle East as their preferred lubricants partner

CAFU and Shell Environmental Products also exploring opportunities related to the offsetting of carbon emissions from fuel purchases

CAFU and Shell Markets Middle East have officially joined forces, signing an agreement that designates Shell as the preferred lubricants partner for CAFU.

This strategic partnership aims to provide automotive owners and fleet operators with a wide-ranging selection of top-quality lubricants accessible through the CAFU mobile app, ultimately reducing wait times and enhancing the overall vehicle maintenance experience for customers, explained the new partners.

As part of this significant collaboration, Shell-approved service providers will offer mobile oil change services through the CAFU platform, utilising Shell’s premium range of lubricants.

This expanded service fleet on the CAFU platform will cater to the growing demand for mobile oil changes and automotive services among CAFU customers.

The agreement was formally agreed by Alaa El Huni, Chief Business Officer at CAFU, and Haytham Yehia, General Manager of Shell Middle East and Central Asia.

El Huni expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “We are delighted to announce this ground-breaking and unique partnership with Shell, a visionary and forward-looking energy company, and our technology company and platform that is poised to revolutionize the mobility infrastructure for the 21st century. We are eager to harness our smart and interconnected mobile infrastructure to provide our customers with sustainable, on-demand solutions enabled by our homegrown technology solutions, in a cost-effective manner.”

Haytham Yehia, General Manager of Shell Middle East and Central Asia, added: “Today marks a momentous occasion as we join hands with CAFU as their preferred lubricants partner. Through this collaboration, we will offer our customers easy, fast, and convenient access to our premium range of lubricants at their fingertips, thanks to CAFU’s cutting-edge technology.”

In an additional development, CAFU and Shell Environmental Products have signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) to explore opportunities related to carbon credits. This initiative aims to offset carbon emissions resulting from fuel purchased on CAFU’s platform.

The MoU will leverage CAFU’s cutting-edge technology and Shell’s expertise in the carbon market, with the ambition of supporting the growth of the voluntary carbon market in the region. Initially, the focus will be on offering carbon credits to CAFU’s fleet customers, with potential expansion to automotive customers using the CAFU app in the future.

This partnership between CAFU and Shell represents not only a significant advancement in automotive services but also a commitment to environmental sustainability in the Middle East region. As these two industry leaders join hands, consumers can look forward to a more convenient and environmentally conscious approach to vehicle maintenance and fuel consumption.
