FedEx brings together automotive aftermarket sector in Dubai

FedEx stakes claim to prove it can streamline and enhance automotive logistics against developing market trends

Federal Express Corporation (FedEx), the world’s largest express transportation company, recently hosted a networking event aimed at key stakeholders in the UAE’s automotive aftermarket sector.

The event, held at the TAJ Dubai, attracted over 50 local companies and provided a platform to discuss specialised logistics innovations within the industry.

During the event, attendees were introduced to a broad portfolio of FedEx automotive logistics solutions, which include competitive transit times, efficient customs clearance capabilities, and duty credit facilities.

Additionally, FedEx experts offered valuable insights on enhancing the customer experience within the automotive supply chain, focusing on the strategic alignment of procurement, marketing, and business growth.

As the UAE aims to boost its industrial sector’s contribution to GDP from US$36 billion (AED 133 billion) to US$82 billion (AED 300 billion) by 2031, robust logistics strategies will play a pivotal role in achieving this goal.

The growth of the light vehicle automotive aftermarket in the GCC is also expected to soar, with revenues projected to surpass US$12 billion (AED 44 billion) by 2027.
