inDrive launches courier operations in Harare

inDrive’s model allows users to negotiate fares through its “name your price” approach and has gained widespread popularity in Zimbabwe

inDrive has announced the expansion of its ride-hailing services across Zimbabwe, now operating in four major cities: Harare, Bulawayo, Gweru, and Mutare. In addition to the expansion, inDrive has officially launched its courier services in Harare, further enhancing the convenience and accessibility of its offerings to users in the capital.

This expansion is a significant step in inDrive’s ongoing mission to promote fairness, affordability, and community-driven services throughout Zimbabwe. The new courier service will enable both individuals and businesses to send packages efficiently and securely, while the already-established intercity services continue to provide seamless connectivity between key urban centres. Residents and businesses can now benefit from enhanced mobility solutions, whether for personal travel or the transportation of goods.

“We are thrilled to expand our footprint in Zimbabwe. With our presence in Harare, Bulawayo, Gweru, and Mutare, we’re making strides towards offering fair and more accessible mobility solutions to the Zimbabwean community,” said Kudzai Jeke, inDrive’s Country Representative in Zimbabwe. “The launch of our courier services, alongside our existing intercity service and ride-hailing, reflects our commitment to addressing local needs and challenges, empowering residents and businesses with greater convenience and opportunities for growth.”

inDrive’s model, which allows users to negotiate fares directly through its “name your price” approach, has gained widespread popularity in Zimbabwe. This model challenges traditional pricing systems in the industry, offering fairer rates while maintaining high-quality service. Having been the most downloaded app globally for two consecutive years, inDrive’s success highlights its growing influence and appeal.

As Zimbabwe continues its path of development, inDrive is committed to contributing to the nation’s economic growth by creating income opportunities. The company’s expansion into new cities and the introduction of additional services align with its mission to challenge injustice and promote greater equity in mobility across the country.
