MG picks its new Saudi partner

Jiad Modern Motors, a Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Company has been appointed as the new and official distributor for MG Motor in Saudi Arabia

MG Motor, the British automotive marque, has announced a strategic partnership with Jiad Modern Motors, a Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Company, to serve as its new and official distributor in Saudi Arabia.

This move aligns with the Chinese-owned car maker’s regional expansion strategy and aims to make their highly popular car lineup accessible to a wider customer base in the kingdom.

The official agreement signing ceremony took place at the Mohamed Yousuf Naghi headquarters, with attendance from key figures including Mr. Tom Lee, MG Motor’s Managing Director for the Middle East and North Africa, and Mr. Mohamed Yousuf Naghi, Chairman of Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Company. This partnership is a significant development as MG Motor gears up for its upcoming centenary and continues to establish itself as a leading player in Saudi Arabia and the broader Middle East automotive market.

In 2022, MG experienced a surge in popularity, with more customers than ever before choosing its stylish, well-equipped, high-tech, and high-value cars. This success propelled MG into the GCC’s top six car manufacturers for the first time in 2022.

Jiad Modern Motors is set to launch MG showrooms in key cities including Jeddah, Riyadh, and Dammam in the near future, with plans for a total of six facilities by the end of 2023. The partnership’s core focus is to enhance the MG ownership experience by expanding the network and providing comprehensive high-quality aftersales services.

This commitment underscores both MG Motor and Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Company’s shared dedication to prioritising customer satisfaction and ensuring an efficient parts supply within the Kingdom, suggested the firms.

Importantly, all existing warranties for MG cars already on the roads in Saudi Arabia will remain unaffected by the change in retail partner, guaranteeing peace of mind for current MG owners and ensuring that they continue to receive top-notch customer service.

Tom Lee, Managing Director of MG Motor Middle East and North Africa, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, saying: “As MG Motor approaches its 100th year anniversary, Mohamed Yousuf Naghi is the ideal partner to reinforce our strong position in the Kingdom. They are at the top of their game, with long-standing experience in the automotive sector, and they have the resources to take MG Motor to the next level.”

He further added, “As one of our key global markets, Saudi Arabia’s highly competitive automotive market means that customers rightly expect only the highest standards of service, and together with our new partner we look forward to working together to enhance these standards for our customers.”

Mohamed Yousuf Naghi, the Chairman, expressed the company’s dedication to excellence in the Saudi automotive industry, stating, “This partnership resonates with our unrelenting dedication to excellence in the Saudi automotive industry. Teaming up with MG Motor not only reaffirms our commitment to bringing the best vehicles to the Saudi automotive market but also signifies our determination to set new benchmarks in customer satisfaction.”

Car buyers in Saudi Arabia will gain access to MG’s full range of best-selling models available in the Middle East, including the MG RX5, MG ONE, and MG GT, along with exciting additions from MG’s electric vehicle lineup, such as the new MG HS PHEV and the new MG ZS EV. All vehicles come with a best-in-region manufacturer warranty of six years or 200,000km, providing ultimate peace of mind, and eight years/200,000km for the battery packs on electric models.

The appointment of Jiad Modern Motors as MG’s official distributor in Saudi Arabia signifies the brand’s commitment to strengthening its presence in the kingdom, where it has achieved remarkable growth. In 2022, MG experienced exceptional sales performance, driven by its best-sellers in the Kingdom, the MG ZS and MG 5.

This partnership is set to reshape the Saudi automotive sector, combining MG’s stellar reputation as one of the Kingdom’s favorite car brands with the unmatched expertise and legacy of the Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Company. Customers can expect an unparalleled experience characterized by quality vehicles and outstanding service.
