AJEX appoints new country managers for the U.S. and China

The appointments follow DHL eCommerce’s minority investment in AJEX in August 2025

AJEX Logistics Services, a partner of DHL eCommerce, has announced two key leadership appointments as part of its strategy to strengthen global connectivity with the Middle East. Nick Taylor has been named Country Manager for the U.S., and Daisy Chai takes on the role of Country Manager for China, reinforcing AJEX’s ambition to support growing trade flows between major international markets and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.

With more than three decades of experience across six countries and three continents, Nick Taylor brings a wealth of operational and commercial expertise to his new role. His career includes leadership positions in both sales and operations in the Middle East and the United States, where he has built a reputation for developing high-performing, customer-focused teams. His appointment reflects AJEX’s focus on expanding its U.S. footprint and strengthening trade links at a time when non-oil sectors across the GCC—spanning healthcare, technology, fashion, and retail—are driving increased demand for advanced logistics and fulfilment solutions.

“This is an incredibly exciting time to join AJEX as we continue to strengthen and expand our U.S. footprint,” said Nick Taylor, Country Manager, AJEX USA. “From healthcare to technology, fashion and retail, fast-growing non-oil sectors across the Gulf are fueling demand for advanced logistics capabilities that combine international reliability with local expertise. AJEX offers the network, reach, and expertise needed to support American brands in tapping into that growth.”

In Asia, Daisy Chai takes the helm as Country Manager for China, leading AJEX’s operations in one of the Middle East’s most important trading markets. With over 20 years of logistics experience in China’s major international cargo hubs, including Tianjin AirCargo Terminal and the International Cargo Center Shenzhen, Chai will focus on helping Chinese manufacturers and e-commerce brands enter and expand within Middle Eastern markets.

“The demand for fast, transparent, and reliable logistics and transportation solutions among Chinese companies looking to tap into the Middle East’s dynamic non-oil trade continues to grow,” said Daisy Chai, China Country Manager, AJEX. “From e-commerce giants such as SHEIN and TEMU, Chinese brands continue to captivate Middle Eastern consumers with diverse product offerings and competitive pricing. As this trend continues, AJEX is on hand, ready to support seamless market entry.”

China remains the GCC’s largest trading partner, accounting for more than 20% of the region’s total trade in 2023—valued at $139.6 billion, up from $126.0 billion the previous year. AJEX’s expanded leadership presence reflects the company’s commitment to facilitating these trade flows by offering tailored logistics solutions that connect manufacturers, retailers, and consumers across continents.

AJEX provides a full suite of logistics services, including last-mile delivery, certified cold chain transport for healthcare, oversized cargo handling for heavy industry, and integrated warehousing and distribution. Its ability to navigate complex regulatory frameworks and deliver reliable cross-border service has established it as a trusted partner for businesses expanding across the Gulf.

The appointments follow DHL eCommerce’s minority investment in AJEX in August 2025, a move designed to combine DHL’s global network with AJEX’s regional infrastructure and expertise. Together, the partnership aims to accelerate e-commerce logistics and cross-border trade in Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East.
