Al-Bahar delivers 35 Cat DP30NT Lift Trucks to Danube

Danube turns to Cat and Al-Bahar for warehousing operation

Mohamed Abdulrahman Al-Bahar has delivered 35 units of Cat DP30NT forklifts along with an exclusive support bundle to UAE-based Danube Building Materials to help the company’s warehousing operations in Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Abu Dhabi, and Fujairah.

Danube Building Materials offers more than 25,000 products and value-added services, such as plywood, MDF, nouveau surfaces, exotic timber, laminates, veneer, kitchens and bath fittings, tiles, steel and adhesives. The company needed versatile warehousing equipment to meet its requirements of handling the large variety of materials in its stock, said a statement from Al-Bahar, adding that the requirements from the equipment included performance, durability, high-capacity engines and higher lifting heights.

Danube had already been using Cat Lift Trucks for more than a decade through the Cat Rental Store and this formed the basis of their decision to acquire the new Cat machines, said Al-Bahar. The process included multiple rounds of consultations and considerations, and the transition from rental to newly purchased equipment was smooth since the operators were previously experienced in using the Cat Lift Trucks on rent.

Mamoun Mutair, product manager, Material Handling Equipment, Al-Bahar, said: “Regardless of the application expectation, these compact engine powered models have deservedly acquired a name synonymous with durability. Of the various material handling equipment we offer, the DP30NT was ideal for Danube’s requirement.

“Along with high lifting height and engine capacity, the DP30NT offers a detailed dashboard. It comes with hydrostatic steering for increased productivity. Moreover, advanced engine powered technology offers the level of performance necessary to meet the requirements of modern business.”

Madhusudhan Rao, CEO, Danube, said: “The value of the Cat brand was known to us, as we have been using Cat rental forklifts for over 10 years. Moreover, we were happy with the excellent dealer support from Al-Bahar, including the availability of parts across the region. Hence, we had no second thoughts when we needed to purchase forklifts for operations across our branches.”

Sultan Ibrahim, fleet manager, Danube, added: “We rely on Cat forklifts for their durability and reliability. Higher engine capacity and lifting height were among the other highlights the Cat forklifts provided to us. We see the association as a win-win and are looking forward to benefiting from this relationship.”

Al-Bahar, the exclusive Caterpillar dealer in the region, delivered the 35 units of the Cat DP30NT to Danube in a recent event that included machine walk-throughs and demonstrations. Along with Ibrahim, the event was attended by Danube’s cost control manager Chandra Prakash Gupta.

“We are glad Danube has (chosen) the Cat Lift Trucks for their operation. Every Cat Lift Truck comes with easy-to-use features and offers a range of optional extras that allow you to choose the best configuration. Moreover, Cat Lift Trucks are not new to Danube, since they have been using them for a while as a rental solution. At Al-Bahar, we are looking forward to assisting them to achieve more with their new Cat Lift Truck fleet,” concluded Mutair.
