Emirates Motor Company Commercial Vehicles (EMC CV) has held the UAE’s first Mercedes-Benz Fleetboard Driving Championship in Abu Dhabi.
The authorised general distributor of Daimler Commercial Vehicles in the Emirate announced the the final winners during a ceremony at EMC CV’s Mussafah facility this week.
Featuring skilled drivers and vehicles from Western Bainoona Group (WBG), Tristar Engineering and Construction, Al Falah Holdings and Transgulf Readymix, only 18 drivers remained ahead of the final qualification round, the distributor explained in a statement.
Fleets and drivers were clustered into different operational segments, namely Actros Classic and the new Actros – both tractor/trailer operation (medium to long distance); and Actros Classic and new Arocs – both tipper/mixer operation, it added.
EMC CV and Daimler Commercial Vehicles MENA judged the competition with driver ratings based purely on overall grading from Fleetboard performance analysis.
