Construction works on a new 5,700sqm multi-storey car park at the Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC) in Manama, Bahrain is slated to begin soon, according to the Bahrain Real Estate Investment (Edamah). The facility will accommodate up to 600 vehicles.
According to a report by BNA, the project will be under the supervision of Edamah, along with the chief consultant Mohammed Al Ghreeb – Architects and Engineers.
Work on the main construction phase is expected to start later this month, following which the 12-month second phase of the project is expected to begin, as per Edamah CEO Amine Ahmed Al Arayyadh. He made the statement following signing the deal with Alghanah Group CEO Mohammed Jameel Al Ghanah in the presence of Health Minister Faeqa bint Said Al Salah.
The minister stressed the importance of the project, which is expected to provide sufficient parking and ease traffic congestion in the area, as part of a string of other planned development projects.
