Ford appoints director for commercial vehicles business in MEA

The US automotive giant Ford Motor Company has announced the appointment of Steve Kimber as director for commercial vehicles and fleet in the Middle East and Africa.

In his new role, Kimber will be based in Dubai and will report to Kalyana Sivagnanam, vice president – Marketing, Sales & Service, Ford Middle East and Africa.

“I’m pleased to welcome Steve Kimber to our expanding team at Ford Middle East and Africa. Steve’s extensive experience in the commercial and fleet environment makes him an immediate asset, and it’s a statement of intent for growing our commercial and fleet division in the region,” Sivagnanam said.

In his new role, Kimber will focus on growing the fleet and commercial vehicle business by identifying new opportunities and working with Ford dealer partners to build relationships with the company’s fleet customers across the region.

“One of my initial challenges in this new role is ensuring Ford has the products and programmes to meet the needs of our fleet customers. It’s imperative to make Ford the first point of call for fleet businesses, who want a product that is fit for purpose, backed by an exceptional sales and service experience,” said Kimber, who was previously managing director of Ford Norway.
