Gulf of America Logistics: We’re part of America First, says veteran-led firm

GOAL wants to be a key contributor to the US domestic supply chain, aligning with broader 'America First' economic goals

A new logistics provider has entered the U.S. Gulf Coast market with a mission to support the region’s booming capital projects sector. Gulf of America Logistics (GOAL), based in Bossier City, Louisiana, aims to offer veteran-led, U.S.-based transport and logistics solutions for large-scale industrial developments.

Founded by managing partner Brent Patterson, a US Navy logistics veteran and former senior vice president at Blue Water Shipping, GOAL enters the market amid surging demand for heavy-lift and specialist transport services. Patterson believes the Gulf Coast is now one of the most dynamic project regions in North America.

“From hydrogen hubs to carbon capture and refinery expansions, the demand for heavy-lift and specialised transport services is accelerating – and yet there have been very few local solutions providers,” Patterson said. “GOAL is here to fill that gap.”

The company will serve capital project clients across sectors such as petrochemicals, power generation, LNG, and infrastructure, offering services ranging from transportation engineering and feasibility studies to multimodal execution, including barging, trucking, rail and customs clearance.

“Our competitive edge lies in our deep understanding of the Gulf Coast’s physical and regulatory challenges,” Patterson explained. “We know the impact of hurricanes, tides, and terrain – and we know how to plan around them. That’s essential in reducing risk and ensuring project continuity.”

GOAL is also positioning itself as a key contributor to the U.S. domestic supply chain, aligning with broader ‘America First’ economic goals. While its primary focus is on U.S.-based capital projects, the company will also offer international 3PL services and multimodal freight solutions through an extended partner network.

“We’re committed to keeping logistics contracts – and the jobs they support – here in the US,” said Patterson. “There’s a real opportunity to improve project outcomes by offering more responsive, asset-based services that are rooted in local knowledge.”

GOAL’s leadership team reflects its multifaceted approach. Brent Patterson is joined by Rock Bordelon, owner and CEO of Allegiance Health Management, who brings local business acumen and extensive regional connections.

Also on board is logistics veteran Chuck Paddock, formerly of Ceres Barge Line and a specialist in steel transport and inland waterway operations.

Keith Lincoln, the company’s vice president of operations, is a former director of logistics at Bertling Logistics with more than 20 years of experience in managing global capital project logistics.

To enhance its regional capabilities, GOAL is finalising the acquisition of a port facility in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, and has signed an exclusive agreement to provide asset-based trucking services across the Gulf region.

“Our team brings forwarding, barge, trucking, rail and EPC experience that’s critical to supporting the huge investment going on here in the Gulf,” said Patterson. “And as barge and other asset capacity tightens, we’re ready with solutions.”

“There’s clearly a growing America First agenda, and we’re part of that,” Patterson said. “We want to ensure that logistics contracts – and the jobs that come with them – are staying in the U.S. We’re helping to defragment the supply chain, reduce risk to projects, and deliver value for developers, EPCs and OEMs.”
