Hyundai Motor Company Africa and Middle East is joining forces with Al Ihsan Charity Association and Ajman University to deliver food packages to underprivileged communities in the UAE.
The initiative is a continuous campaign that will begin in the month of Ramadan. The signing ceremony was held in the presence of Shaikh Dr Abdul Aziz Bin Ali bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, CEO of Al Ihsan Charity Association, who gave a keynote speech, which was followed by speeches from the campaign partners, and a Q&A session with the students and the media.
With the active partnership of Al Ihsan Charity Association, a reputable NGO dedicated to humanitarian work in the region, and Ajman University, the campaign aims to reach 250 unprivileged local and immigrant beneficiaries in rural areas in Ajman, including Manama, Masfout, and Old City.
Director Mr. Suleiman Al Zaben from Juma Al Majid Establishment, the General Distributor of Hyundai Motor Company in the UAE, spoke about the role of mobility in these charity activities, saying, “The campaign we are launching during this ceremony meets Hyundai’s sustainable development goals on several levels. By using our Hyundai mobility solutions, we will help deliver special food aid packages to people in remote areas”.
On their part, Al Ihsan Charitable Association expressed keenness to enhance cooperation with strategic partners in implementing charitable and humanitarian initiatives.
The “Hyundai Continue” charity campaign in Ajman will provide necessary assistance to target groups of low-income families, orphans and widows, with the aim of improving the living conditions of the poor, especially in the holy month of Ramadan, “ensuring food security and meets their needs throughout the year, noting that all charitable initiatives reflect the noble human meanings, spread the values of goodness, and embody the spirit of love.”
It also urges them to build a solid bridge with the needy and extend a helping hand.
“We at Hyundai Motor are conscious of the responsibility to leave a positive impact on people’s lives, especially the people who have undergone difficult circumstances due to the recent uncertainty the world witnessed,” said Hyung Jung Im, VP, Hyundai Motor Company.
“The initiative highlights our commitment to this responsibility. By utilizing our mobility solutions to create a spirit of unity and solidarity, we can give back to the people during the month of giving.”
Ajman University will be a strategic partner in the campaign by providing 25 students who will help in packaging the boxes inside the University Hall. They will also assist in delivering the packages to the underprivileged families. Additionally, Hyundai Motor Company will donate the contents of food boxes as well as provide mobility by way of a fleet of Hyundai STARIA Vans, which will carry the volunteers & the packages.
