Imdaad secures third major FM contract with Dubai Municipality

Three-year contract will see Imdaad deploy 99-strong workforce to provide waste management, recycling and infrastructure cleaning services to four districts in Dubai

Imdaad, the UAE-based facilities management (FM) services company, has announced that it has secured a major contract from Dubai Municipality that will see the group provide waste management, recycling and infrastructure cleaning services across four districts of Dubai.

In a statement, Imdaad said this is the third agreement with the Dubai civic body, expanding its reach across the emirate and furthering its standing as a leader in the UAE’s FM services.

Under the terms of the three-year contract Imdaad will deploy a 99-strong workforce to provide a comprehensive list of waste management, recycling and infrastructure cleaning services to Dubai’s Al Mizhar 1, Mizhar 2, Muhaisnah 1, and Nad Al Hamar districts.

This will entail the deployment of 11,712 bins of various capacities, it added.

On the contract win, Group CEO Jamal Lootah said: “This cements Imdaad’s standing as an FM partner of choice for government organizations and businesses in the UAE. Our stellar track record in providing excellent services that fulfill our customers’ needs to their fullest satisfaction has always enabled us to win their trust and confidence in our capabilities.”

Imdaad’s first major Dubai Municipality agreement, as part of the My City My Environment Phase – 1 project, saw it provide integrated waste management services to over 10,000 people along with recycling services that involved the collections of 150 metric cubes of recyclables per month, ran from 2012 to 2017.

The company’s second contract with the entity, for cleaning services rendered across 14 of Dubai’s largest industrial areas, is still ongoing, stated Lootah.

“Further strengthening our long-standing relationship with Dubai Municipality, our trained and committed professionals will deliver market-leading FM services in Dubai’s four districts, thereby contributing to the city’s efforts to enhance the urban experiences of its residents and visitors,” he added.
