Parsons celebrates 40th year in the United Arab Emirates

Parsons has announced that is has officially completed 40 years in the United Arab Emirates. The US-based consultancy first got its start in Abu Dhabi managing the capital’s urban highway development program, and has continued working on multiple key projects since then.

“2018 marks 40 years since the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Founding Father, invited Parsons to help achieve his vision for the country’s future. We’re proud of helping to bring this vision to life since 1978, and we look forward to the next 40 years,” said Gary Adams, Parsons Group president.

According to a statement from Parsons, it has primarily been involved in civil infrastructure, transport, and land development consultancy, but has also broadened its offerings in the areas of critical infrastructure protection, sustainable energy, advanced healthcare, smart cities, smart mobility, and end-to-end land development services.

The company also introduced several tech-driven solutions, including Parsons’ smart mobility backbone, called iNet, and its critical infrastructure protection product, Domain6.

“I am very pleased to announce that Parsons is further strengthening its commitment to the UAE, as we have started building our regional headquarters in Abu Dhabi. Located in a prominent business location very close to the Abu Dhabi International Airport and only one hour from Dubai World Central Airport, the new office is designed to accommodate our end-to-end technology enabled capabilities now and into the future,” added Adams.
