The Truck and Fleet Awards 2022 recognised 16 winners during a gala dinner held last night at the Raffles Hotel in Dubai.
Almost 2,000 people voted for categories, such as Heavy Truck of the Year, with the process open to the industry before closing last week.
Renault Trucks Greater Middle East’s president Gregoire Blaise delivered a stirring address on an evening where a string of dedicated fleet accolades were passed to STS Group, Momentum Logistics and Suez Recycling Middle East.
DSV, which had earlier won in the Logistics Fleet of the Year category, also took home the overall Fleet of the Year award.
Other winners on the night included Scania, Mercedes-Benz, Renault Trucks and Bridgestone.
“Back in November 2021 we finally realised that the Covid clouds were finally lifting and the Truck and Fleet team got the green light to put on our first awards. To think that we have had a high response in such a short amount of time is remarkable and tells me this sector is much bigger than many of us realise at times,” said editor Stephen White.
“Most of the categories were tightly fought and every nominated company can be proud of the support they generated. I would have loved to have been able to shortlist every one one of them, but the final selection of winners reflects what the market believes is the very best the fleet sector has to offer in the region.”
The Truck and Fleet Awards 2022 were supported by the following companies:
- Platinum Sponsor: Renault Trucks Middle East
- Gold Sponsor: MAN Truck & Bus Middle East
- Silver Sponsors: BG Middle East, Valvoline
- Technology Partner: Bridgestone
- Supporting Partners: Schmitz Cargobull, Transport Overseas Shipping
