Ritchie Bros. Dubai online auction to feature Q8 Auctions line-up

Auctioneer’s tie-up with Kuwaiti company Q8 Auctions for Tuesday's event offers sellers from the Gulf country and global buyers access to one another

Ritchie Bros.’ upcoming Dubai auction this month will feature a large quantity of equipment from Kuwait after the global machinery auction giant teamed up with Kuwaiti auction company Q8 Auctions to offer customers around the world the opportunity to bid on hundreds of items sold from the GCC country.

A statement from Ritchie Bros. added that the teaming up also presents an opportunity for Kuwait-based equipment owners to dispose of surplus machinery and reach international buyers through Ritchie Bros.’ popular online Timed Auctions – without having to ship their equipment to Dubai. Items sold from Kuwait will be stored at Q8 Auction’s Kuwait City yard, where inspection reports will be made for listing on Ritchie Bros.’ website. Once sold, items can be shipped directly to buyers anywhere in the world.

Some of the highlights of items to be sold from Kuwait at the Dubai auction include a 2012 Caterpillar D8R LRC crawler tractor, a 2019 Sany SRC400C 40t 4x4x4 rough terrain crane and a 2017 JCB JS205 LC hydraulic excavator, among others, said Ritchie Bros.

“Anyone who’s ever experienced Ritchie Bros. auctions in Dubai is familiar with the wide variety of equipment and trucks for sale. The auction inventory ranges from small dumpers to massive all-terrain cranes, from SUVs to big excavators, and anything in between,” said Ritchie Bros.’ statement.

“A large portion usually is consigned by businesses based in the UAE, but at its next online auction, which opens for bidding on June 22 and closes on June 29 & 30, Ritchie Bros. will be selling a large number of quality equipment located in Kuwait.”

The bidding will open on June 22 and registering for the auction is free. According to Ritchie Bros.’, placing bids in its online timed auction is “easy and fun”, and the system notifies bidders of progress. Bidders can even set a maximum and let the system bid on their behalf. It’s an unreserved auction, meaning that all items are sold without minimum bids or reserve prices. A complete list of inventory for the next online auction is available on the auctioneers website, where sellers can also list their assets.
