Shipa Delivery opens Jeddah hub

Latest Saudi gateway will significantly reduce delivery times for shipments to and from Saudi Arabia’s western region

Shipa Delivery, a leading provider of on-demand, first-mile, and last-mile delivery services across the GCC, has announced the opening of a new e-commerce gateway in Jeddah.

The new facility, which complements its existing gateways in Riyadh and Dammam, is set to significantly reduce delivery times for shipments to and from Saudi Arabia’s western region.

The Jeddah gateway is expected to enhance international merchants’ access to the rapidly expanding Saudi market, delivering faster and more efficient services. It will also increase capacity during peak periods and reduce carbon emissions for deliveries to the Red Sea corridor and western parts of the Kingdom.

Shipa Delivery made the announcement during the Global Logistics Forum in Riyadh, alongside its parent company, Agility, a global leader in supply chain services and infrastructure, which has more than 20 years of operational experience in Saudi Arabia.

Shipa Delivery already has an extensive presence in the Kingdom, operating over 18 hubs and a fleet of 500+ delivery vehicles. The company’s proprietary technology platform provides end-to-end shipment tracking, enabling shippers to manage clearance, fulfilment, deliveries, reverse logistics, and more through a single platform.

Set to open in January, the Jeddah gateway will cut delivery times in the western region by 12 to 24 hours, offering quicker service to customers and expanding Shipa’s overall delivery capacity in Saudi Arabia by up to 15%.

Borhene Ben Mena, CEO of Shipa Delivery, highlighted the strategic importance of the new gateway: “The Jeddah gateway will make our e-commerce clients more competitive by shortening delivery times. It allows us to expand our capacity in the Kingdom, relieving constraints during peak periods, and introducing new routes to more delivery destinations within Saudi Arabia.”

With Saudi Arabia’s e-commerce market—the largest in the Middle East—growing at an annual rate of 13.5%, the new Jeddah gateway is poised to support the country’s booming online retail sector, which is outpacing the global e-commerce growth rate of 11.2%, according to Economy Middle East.

The expansion aligns with Shipa Delivery’s goal to provide seamless logistics solutions, boosting both customer satisfaction and operational efficiency in Saudi Arabia’s fast-growing market.
