Thermo King enhances its TracKing connectivity platform with new AI-driven capabilities

New Ask TracKing and ColdChain Link solutions deliver higher visibility, improved data access and greater traceability for end-customers across the cold chain delivery logistics ecosystem

Transport temperature control solutions specialist Thermo King has announced the expansion of its TracKing connectivity platform with new digital and AI-driven capabilities.

The Trane Technologies brands said in an announcement that its new Ask TracKing and ColdChain Link enhancements empower operators and their end-customers by simplifying access to operational insights, streamlining fleet management tasks, and strengthening transparency across refrigerated transport.

Available across Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), the new advanced TracKing features help users “better oversee temperature-sensitive and high-value goods in transit, supporting improved efficiency and product integrity”, said the company’s announcement.

Soazic Fagnère, digital solutions product manager at Thermo King, explained: “Thermo King TracKing is at the centre of our digital and connected solutions. By continuously enhancing the platform with new tools, we help our customers optimise operations and deliver unparalleled trust to their end-users.

“With market-first AI-powered features, we are making access to actionable information simpler than ever, streamlining decision-making, and allowing our customers to focus on what matters most: efficient fleet operations. Our innovation is breaking down barriers to data, empowering teams to work smarter and faster, and driving greater efficiency and confidence across the refrigerated supply chain.”

Ask TracKing: AI-powered answers and actionable insights

Ask TracKing now brings generative AI technology to the TracKing platform, providing users with instant, visually engaging answers to their questions. By integrating this advanced intelligence directly within TracKing, Thermo King claims it is setting a new standard in cold chain management, providing a tool that simplifies complex information and enhances productivity. Operators can interact naturally with their data, receiving intuitive visualisations and actionable insights without the need for specialist data analysis skills.

According to Thermo King,  Ask TracKing brings advanced, interactive, self-service insight with dynamic visualisations and real-time answers to the TracKing platform. These capabilities enable faster data analysis and decision-making processes, allowing users to proactively manage efficiency, performance and maintenance for valuable, temperature-sensitive cargo transport.

“Customers want to speed up the data analysis and their decision-making. Now, they no longer need to spend time cross-matching or interpreting data as complex information is turned into intuitive, actionable visuals with a simple question,” said Fagnère.

ColdChain Link: TracKing raises standard for transparency and customer trust

ColdChain Link is another key capability added to TracKing, allowing users to share real-time transport data from selected vehicles directly with their end-customers. This strengthens visibility and transparency in the cold chain, providing stakeholders with timely information on the conditions in which their products are transported.

With customisable triggers including date, time and geofence, ColdChain Link delivers tailored data-sharing for critical monitoring, especially valuable to industries such as pharmaceuticals and food logistics, said Thermo King.

“The ColdChain Link feature advances efficiency and trust across the supply chain, setting a new industry standard for digital collaboration in refrigerated transport,” explained Fagnère. “It is a game changer, particularly for customers with specific, day-to-day requirements for monitoring transport conditions.”
