Leasys has launched the “From Rent to Plant” initiative in collaboration with Treedom, the pioneering platform that lets stakeholders plant trees remotely and monitor their growth online.
The partnership marks a significant commitment by Leasys to enhance its environmental and social impact globally.
Starting this spring, Leasys has already made a tangible impact by planting forests totaling 3,650 trees across ten countries including Haiti, Nepal, Cameroon, Madagascar, Kenya, Guatemala, Colombia, Tanzania, Ecuador, and the Dominican Republic. These efforts are part of a broader strategy to integrate sustainable practices into their business model and foster ecological awareness among their clients.
The largest of these efforts, dubbed the “Leasys Group Forest,” boasts 2,150 trees and stands as a testament to the company’s dedication to environmental stewardship.
The initiative not only allows stakeholders to track the growth of their trees via an interactive map on both Treedom and Leasys websites but also serves as a model for other companies aiming to manage their environmental footprint effectively.
Significantly, through its existing forests, Leasys has contributed to the absorption of approximately 844.78 tons of CO2. The company has announced plans to further this positive impact by continuing to plant new trees in the coming months.
This partnership aligns with Leasys’s ambitious goal of ensuring that 50% of its new contracts will involve electrified vehicles by 2026, emphasizing the shift towards more sustainable mobility options. The collaboration with Treedom not only underscores Leasys’s commitment to combating climate change but also highlights its proactive role in pushing the mobility sector towards global carbon neutrality.
