PETRONAS Lubricants International Launches New Engine Oil Range

PETRONAS Syntium X is PLI’s response to the challenges posed by an ageing car fleet, where the average vehicle lifespan is 12 years

PETRONAS Lubricants International (PLI) has unveiled PETRONAS Syntium X, a new range of engine oils designed to meet the evolving needs of modern vehicles.

The new product line promises exceptional protection, extended drain intervals, durability, and improved fuel economy—all at an affordable price, allowing drivers to make smart choices for their vehicles without sacrificing quality.

PETRONAS Syntium X is PLI’s response to the challenges posed by an ageing car fleet, where the average vehicle lifespan is 12 years, and many cars are out of warranty. In today’s economic climate, consumers demand efficient, high-quality products that offer great value, and PETRONAS Syntium X delivers precisely that. Engineered to align with viscosity grade trends, this range is tailored for modern vehicle usage, ensuring optimal performance and protection.

The PETRONAS Syntium X range incorporates ETRO, PETRONAS’ proprietary base oil, combined with high-quality additives. ETRO is a premium base oil that significantly reduces carbon footprint while providing technical excellence. This innovative formulation makes PETRONAS Syntium X the ideal choice for consumers seeking high-quality engine oil at an affordable price.

“Our vision with PETRONAS Syntium X is clear: to offer drivers a smart choice that combines affordability without compromising quality,” said Giuseppe Pedretti, EMEA Regional Managing Director at PETRONAS Lubricants International. “With engines facing increasingly harsh conditions and financial pressures mounting globally, we recognized the urgent need for a product that not only protects older cars against wear and deposits but also instills trust and confidence in every journey.”

Product Range

The PETRONAS Syntium X line consists of six meticulously engineered products, covering crucial viscosities for the current and future needs of both new and older cars. These products meet key industry standards and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) claims at Performance Level and Suitable For Use (SFU). Each product is designed to resist oxidation, ensure stable performance throughout the entire drain interval, extend engine life, and optimise fuel economy.

The PETRONAS Syntium X range represents a high-quality portfolio of engine oils that reflects PETRONAS’ expertise and industry understanding. Additionally, the new clean label design underscores the smart solution credentials of the product range, making it easy for consumers to identify the right product for their needs.

With PETRONAS Syntium X, drivers can expect enhanced engine protection and performance, longer intervals between oil changes, and improved fuel efficiency, all of which contribute to lower overall maintenance costs. This new range is set to become a go-to choice for car owners looking for reliable and cost-effective engine oil solutions.
