Hyundai scoops 11 awards at Newsweek Autos

Hyundai Motor emerged as a standout winner in 'Best Small Pickup and 'Best Brand for Your Buck' for the second consecutive year

Hyundai Motor Group has clinched a total of 11 prestigious accolades at the 2023 Newsweek Autos Awards.

This impressive haul surpasses the group’s performance in the previous year, where it secured eight awards.

Yong Wha Kim, President and Chief Technology Officer of Hyundai Motor Group, expressed his gratitude for the recognition, highlighting the Group’s dedication to spearheading the transition to electrification and delivering sustainable mobility solutions.

Hyundai Motor emerged as a standout winner in two categories. The Hyundai Santa Cruz was named ‘Best Small Pickup,’ reflecting the vehicle’s exceptional design and capabilities. Additionally, Hyundai was honored as the ‘Best Brand for Your Buck’ for the second consecutive year, a testament to its commitment to offering premium features across its model range without compromising on quality.

Kia, a key brand within the Group, garnered an impressive eight awards, underscoring its innovative approach and diverse vehicle lineup. This included the ‘Most Innovative Vehicle Brand’ and ‘Best SUV Lineup’ awards. Among individual vehicle honors, the Kia Carnival, Seltos, and Sportage received accolades for their outstanding features and performance. The eagerly anticipated Kia EV9 also received recognition with two awards, highlighting its premium appeal and exceptional interior design.

Genesis, another brand under the Hyundai Motor Group umbrella, was not left behind. The Electrified GV70 was lauded with the ‘Vehicle Editor’s Picks’ accolade, celebrating its advanced technology and innovative features.

The Newsweek Autos Awards, now in its third year, is renowned for its rigorous evaluation process.

It assesses vehicles and brands based on a comprehensive set of criteria, including interior design, technological integration, overall appeal, and driving experience. The awards place a significant emphasis on each vehicle’s comparative performance and market positioning, ensuring a fair and thorough assessment process.

This sweep of awards by Hyundai Motor, Kia, and Genesis at the 2023 Newsweek Autos Awards is a clear indicator of the Group’s leadership in the global automotive industry. It reflects their continuous effort to push the boundaries of automotive technology and design, providing customers with vehicles that offer both exceptional quality and value.
