ACT Group and GCC Olayan agree 50 vehicle deal for one of Scania’s toughest trucks

In a strategic move set to strengthen its position in the oil and gas logistics sector, ACT Group has signed an agreement with GCC Olayan to acquire 50 new Scania G440 A6X4HZ XT trucks. This major fleet expansion builds on ACT Group’s existing fleet of 17 Scania vehicles and reinforces its commitment to operational excellence and cost-efficiency.

ACT Group’s decision to expand its fleet is driven by the outstanding operational economy and reliability of Scania trucks. Company executives highlighted the cost-efficiency these vehicles bring, which is critical in maintaining a high-performing fleet capable of meeting the rigorous demands of Saudi Arabia’s oil and gas industry.

Additionally, the group praised GCC Olayan for its exceptional aftermarket support, noting that the swift response to urgent parts and service requests plays a crucial role in keeping operations running smoothly.

The collaboration marks a significant milestone for ACT Group. Looking ahead, the company has already outlined plans to further expand its Scania fleet in 2025 and 2026, aligning with its broader operational growth strategy.

Mohammed Hassan Alnaimi, CEO of ACT Group, commented, “We are thrilled to expand our fleet with Scania trucks. This alliance aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, and altogether, we aim to set new industry benchmarks and deliver reliable transportation solutions. We look positively forward to a successful journey ahead.”

George Fawaz, General Manager at GCC Olayan, added, “This alliance marks a milestone in delivering world-class transportation solutions. With a shared commitment to excellence and innovation, we’re set to offer unmatched reliability and performance, driving growth and setting new industry benchmarks.”

Scania is also optimistic about the long-term partnership. Juan Carlos, Managing Director of Scania Middle East, stated, “We are excited to support ACT Group with our Scania G440 A6X4HZ XT trucks. This partnership highlights the reliability and performance of our products, and we look forward to a successful, long-term collaboration with ACT Group, alongside our trusted partner, GCC Olayan.”
