AGMC Geely and Medcare unite for Pink October campaign

Automotive and healthcare brands collaborate to drive breast cancer awareness across Dubai and Sharjah

In a notable show of corporate social responsibility, AGMC Geely, the official distributor of Geely Auto in Dubai and Sharjah, has partnered with Medcare Hospitals & Medical Centres to launch a Pink October campaign that blends mobility, awareness, and community engagement.

The initiative, rolled out to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month, aims to highlight the importance of prevention, early detection, and regular health screenings through a multi-channel programme designed to reach residents across both emirates.

At the heart of the campaign is a fleet of Pink October-branded Geely vehicles, which will take to Dubai’s streets throughout the month, serving as eye-catching reminders of the importance of women’s health. The cars form part of a wider visibility drive intended to start conversations around breast cancer awareness and early screening.

“As a responsible automotive brand, we believe our role goes beyond mobility. It’s about making a difference in the communities we serve,” said Dr Andreas Schaaf, Group Director, AlBatha Automotive Group. “Through this collaboration with Medcare, we want to help raise awareness and make preventive healthcare more accessible to women across Dubai and Sharjah.”

The campaign’s launch also coincides with an awareness session at AGMC Geely’s Sheikh Zayed Road showroom, where a Medcare doctor will lead a talk on breast cancer prevention, self-examinations, and the benefits of early screening.

To encourage participation, discounted Medcare screening vouchers will be available at AGMC Geely showrooms in Dubai and Sharjah, offering women affordable access to life-saving tests. The partnership will also extend online, with both organisations promoting the initiative across social media, digital platforms, and in-showroom displays to amplify the message of proactive health.

Adding a creative and interactive twist, the “Spot the Pink Car” challenge invites members of the public to snap photos of the branded vehicles and share them on Instagram Stories, tagging @geely.uae and @medcare with the hashtag #MedcarexGeely. Each week, two winners will receive complimentary breast cancer screenings, further motivating public participation and spreading awareness in an engaging way.

“Every year, Medcare leads a major breast cancer awareness campaign because early education and screening are key to saving lives,” said Rania Roxana Akkela, Group Marketing Head at Medcare Hospitals and Medical Centres. “Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting women, yet it is highly treatable when detected early. Partnering with AGMC Geely allows us to extend our reach, connect with diverse communities, and spread this vital message more effectively.”

The month-long campaign will run throughout October, supported by Medcare’s social media channels and digital screens across its hospitals, including Medcare Women & Children Hospital in Dubai and Medcare Hospital in Sharjah.
