AITERRA tyre launches as AISIN unveils bold expansion strategy at Automechanika Dubai 2024

AITERRA, AISIN’s first tyre brand, is set to debut in April 2025 as the Japanese aftermarket player looks for Middle East growth

AISIN Corporation, a global leader in automotive components, showcased its ambitious expansion strategy at Automechanika Dubai 2024, underlining its vision to transform the global aftermarket industry. As part of this vision, the company unveiled its latest innovation—a new tyre brand, AITERRA, reflecting its commitment to sustainability and advanced technology.

Held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, the event served as a prime opportunity for AISIN to highlight its strategic transformation into a total automotive parts and service provider. Building on its legacy of excellence, the company is set to expand its extensive product portfolio to cater to evolving customer needs.

AISIN’s expanded offering goes beyond traditional components to introduce essential maintenance products. The company plans to offer wiper blades, lubricants, high-quality batteries, and tire accessories, alongside advanced tools such as wheel balancers, paints, and car lifts. This comprehensive approach aims to provide everything needed for vehicle upkeep, supporting customers with innovative, high-quality solutions. Additionally, AISIN presented cutting-edge equipment for automotive service and maintenance, including rim solutions and electric mobility components, reinforcing its position as a leader in both innovation and sustainability.

A standout announcement was the launch of AITERRA, AISIN’s first tyre brand, set to debut in April 2025. The name AITERRA combines “AI” from AISIN, symbolising the company’s integration of cutting-edge technology, and “Terra,” the Latin word for Earth, reflecting its environmental focus. AITERRA tyres are designed to complement AISIN’s growing portfolio by enhancing fuel efficiency, improving safety, and addressing sustainability challenges.

Mr. Masahiro Shiiya, President of AISIN Corporation’s Global Aftermarket division, shared his thoughts on the company’s future:

“At AISIN, our expansion strategy reflects our vision to evolve as a comprehensive automotive parts and service provider. We’re broadening our offering to include maintenance items like tyres, lubricants, and service tools, supported by our global network of 36 locations. AITERRA embodies our commitment to sustainability, merging advanced technology with eco-friendly solutions to drive us towards a zero-emission future. Automechanika Dubai provides an excellent platform to showcase these innovations and reinforce our leadership in the global automotive aftermarket.”

With a presence in 36 locations across 17 countries, AISIN’s aftermarket division is well-positioned to address the unique needs of regional markets. The company’s extensive manufacturing capabilities ensure high-quality, timely, and efficient solutions for customers worldwide.

AISIN’s consistent ranking as a Top 10 global Tier One automotive supplier underscores its reputation for excellence. By focusing on electrification, sustainability, and zero-emission mobility, AISIN is positioning itself as a pioneer in shaping the future of the automotive industry. The unveiling of its expanded strategy and the introduction of AITERRA mark a significant step in AISIN’s mission to provide holistic automotive solutions, reinforcing its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and customer-centricity in the global aftermarket industry.
