Al-Futtaim’s Trading Enterprises takes JEEP to Auto Fest

The focus of this year’s Jeep at the Auto Fest event was the 2021 modified Jeep Gladiator

Al-Futtaim’s Trading Enterprises, the official distributor of Jeep vehicles in Dubai and Northern Emirates, presented Jeep’s “world of adventure and customisation” at Auto Fest 2021 – UAE’s unique shopping mall automotive exhibition. Four exclusive Jeep SUVs powered the brand’s stand at Dubai Festival City Mall (DFCM) including a special Gladiator Rubicon Launch Edition, a Jeep’s first-ever desert-rated vehicle – the Gladiator Sand Runner – in addition to the 80th Anniversary editions of the iconic Wrangler in two-door and four-door variants.

A collaborative effort between Al-Futtaim’s Trading Enterprises and Stellantis, the global parent company of the Jeep brand, the focus of this year’s Jeep Auto Fest activation was the 2021 modified Jeep Gladiator that holds several exciting customisations from Mopar – a Stellantis-owned, leading parts and service division that specialises in authentic Jeep customisations.

For drivers who are looking for individuality, the Gladiator, the only trail-rated pick-up to ever exist was represented by the Gladiator Rubicon Launch Edition – a special model modified by Mopar for the Auto Fest pop up. It hosts unique accessories to further elevate the vehicle’s distinctive design, impeccable traction and clearance, and class-leading ride control. From the outside, the exclusive Gladiator Rubicon Launch Edition is enhanced with the UAE flag colours, a unique hood Decal-Sand Runner, front seats with increased bolsters and scoop performance hood. It is also equipped with FOX hydraulic jounce bumper, FOX 2.5” internal bypass shocks with remote reservoir both front and rear, in addition to unique attributes such as heavy-duty Dana 44 axles, removable roof and doors, and functional truck beds.

The first “Desert Rated” Jeep ever, Gladiator Sand Runner was also on show. The vehicle is powered by the 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine, and provides 285hp and features dual overhead camshafts, high-flow intake and exhaust ports, Variable Valve Timing (VVT) and Electronic Throttle Control.

Amir Shousha, General Manager – CDJR, at Al-Futtaim’s Trading Enterprises, said, “Jeep is an iconic brand that has been pioneering in SUV design, safety, comfort, and style. Having the Jeep Auto Fest activation during Ramadan also provides an opportunity for us to engage with our customers in a way that is as authentic and unique as the Jeep brand. We are excited to celebrate the completion of 80 years of Jeep, and welcome DFCM shoppers to the Jeep stand to explore our exclusive 2021 range of the eye-catching customised Mopar-modified Gladiator model and the exciting 80th Anniversary Wrangler editions.”

The 80th Anniversary edition of the 2021 Jeep Wrangler is a special edition created in celebration of 80 years since the establishment of the Jeep brand. Presented at Jeep stand at Auto Fest, the two-door and four-door Wrangler models are equipped with new features that will further elevate the commanding presence of the iconic SUV. These include 18-inch wheels, neutral grey metallic grille bezels, headlamp rings, fog lamp bezels and body-colour fender flares. Inside the cabin, the special edition Wrangler will feature black diamond embossed cloth seats with 80th Anniversary tag and light tungsten accent stitching as well as fourth generation Uconnect system with 8.4-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
